That's INSANE. You truly deserve an award for these edits. Also it blows my mind how far technology has come where Hollywood blockbuster movies from my childhood are now possible to be made in an afternoon

The removal of the droids' stupid "funny" lines made that Grievous scene work so much better. Caleb is Bae-leb.

Why does literally any scene from the prequels with the white text over it look so cool??

apologies if this maybe feels like a less-prescient comment now than it potentially could've been to make a year and a half ago, but this editing (as in the video itself and not your efforts with the film which are fantastic in their own right) really is thing of beauty in terms of momentum and frankness and importance and delivery of information that's quick and sticks with you and whoah did he just do some 3D rendering fixes on the side like that and boom boom boom boom [*snaps fingers a bunch*] in a way that's just kind of weirdly intoxicating to go back and watch. just a really exceptional piece of work and sincerely thank you for making it and being such a natural maestro at this sort of thing.

I must say I actually enjoy most of the R2D2 and Droid Slapstick. I know it's silly and pointless but personally I would like to keep it in there. Other than that I am actually suprised on how your small changes can make a very big difference. Especially the banter with Grievous works so much better the way you did it.
@JohnBanana3 жыл бұрын
Definitely not any of the droid silly voices, those need to go. But the R2D2 parts, he did keep them, he just made a few subtle trims.
@cefb892320 күн бұрын
It's all too much. R2 maybe shocking the robot and running into the wall that's it. I feel like theres enough relief between the chemistry of Anakin and Obi-Won.

My lukewarm take is that the greatest improvement to the prequels would be to make the exact same story but from padmes pov. you can actually to in-depth with the politics and tensions etc, you can keep the anakin plot on a low heat till it escalates, you can do the romance from a pov where anakins irritating behaviour can start as a subtle thing to be ignored or tolerated and then grows into the concerning and awful later part. i think you can do a lot of anakins conflict with obi wan and the jedi, and his corruption in a much subtler way, bc you can show it in glimpses and have padme and the audience worry. but yeah youd basically have to trash and remake most of it. maybe not ideal.

Honestly can't stand the opening, I remember being 15 and being like wtf is this. I feel like people forget about this when they think of ROTS, it doesn't mean its a bad movie but like what the hell, its so goofy and corny. It's like they try and get comedic relief for the entire movie in the first 15 min because we know later Anakin is going to choke his wife and kill younglings.. better give us the droid comedy hour.
@crappymcdick15 сағат бұрын
I agree that it does too much but I actually think it's maybe intentional to go from comedy to then later subvert that with tragedy. Not saying that's a great decision but it's atleast interesting.
