Super frustrating with the next two client sessions where I couldn't review the images on the screen, or show any captures to my client! Thank you! Huge sigh of relief!

thanks for the tip. In my case it was not dust, but the little rubber that blocked the sensor just a little unfortunally enough not to work anymore.

Wow... dust... Who would have guessed. Visual inspection made the sensor look clean, but sure enough: Rubber blow bellow, and DONE. Thanks sooooo much!!!

No problem. Its a frustrating thing but once you know.... One thing i should have added to the video is that routine cleaning is required cause it keeps happening, particularly if you are outdoors a lot.

Like others who have commented I thought the electronics on my new Z7 were screwed up. Worked like a charm. Time to add blowing the dust off that tiny sensor to the cleanup checklist I go through after each shoot. Many, many thanks.

OMG this was the problem on my Z62, now solved, thank you. I had just started shooting and suddenly the playback would not work at all, I could only view photos and the menu in the EVF, even when I changed the playback settings to monitor only for viewing images. I was thinking I'd have to send it for repair -- when I came home and googled, this was one of the videos that came up. Thank you so much.
