Fixing the BIGGEST Issue on the 1JZ IS300!

Diving deep into the 1JZ IS300 today! Ever since the swap we've been dealing with some smoke coming out from the exhaust which is known to be one of the biggest pesky issues for the JZ platform.. the valve seals! Watch us make fun of each other while we tear this thing apart!

That was the first thing I did once I got my motor. Took the head and got the valve seals replaced. Even though the motor was super clean inside, just good to have them replaced

Yeah that’s the best thing to do! I rushed it and paying the price, but everything is for a reason! Now it’s time for me to upgrade some stuff and make this engine bay squeaky clean!

@@StaticGarageUSA did you reseal it at least before install? i bought my motor like 2 years ago and its still sitting on the engine stand lol. should be install it in a few months, just waiting for the temp to drop some in south texas.

I’ve had my IS for 7 months now. I’ve gone through 10 sets of wheels and got a lip kit lol. I think you’ve helped me make the decision to keep it!

Don't forget to tap the coolant port on the side of the head! Get rid of that press fitting for an 10AN fitting

@@StaticGarageUSA nah not that one, its the L shaped press in fitting on the back of the head for the heater core. Tap the head for an AN fitting

Stoked to see you working on the is300 again! I can't wait to see it ripping 🤘🏼 BTW the right tool for the headbolts is technically a 12mm bihex not a triple square. They're very similar but the angles on each bit are slightly different and can Strip the bolts if you use the wrong one
