Coincidence, did this mod last weekend. I use the same 450 pump, but kept the venturi and kept the bucket. It fits. I did active cooling on the EKP, did a small how to on e90post. btw the sock can block your float.

awesome! feel free to share the link! the strainer we used was pretty ridgid otherwise I'd have bent it up like the stock one and not cut the bucket.

@DITLEOT nope! ZERO issues. *knock on wood* if you drill it, don't get too greedy. a tiny bit bigger is fine. just make sure you use GOOD bits so they don't snap.

Hey hows it going, love your e82 its extremely clean, I currently have a fbo e92 n54 with the 6hp auto in my car, I have recently ordered a docrace top mount 6266 BB kit, and its getting delivered in a few days, i have been looking into the 8hp swap, and my goal is to be around 700HP, To make it easy i wont ask any questions, but if possible could you send me a list of things i would need for the swap, and how many hours of labor it would take me to install, i work at a shop with lifts and all tools needed, thanks please let me know - Parts list, and labor hours

I'd say total you could be into it for 10-15hrs, if you got an 8hp45 it's pretty seamless and straight forward. just need the cantcu stuff, transmission cooler adapter and an N55 torque converter. that's pretty well it.

To what psi fuel pressure was dropping to? Also how much E85 can the stock fuel pump handle before it dips on pressure, also what was the ambient temperature versus the iat temperature. I know at least for my car, it performs better on ethanol when is above 70 farenheigth. Very interesting at least to me. Also you running a flex fuel kit? Or is on pump gas all the time? Nice car too that body is very desirable?

we covered the fuel pressure in the video, it was dropping to around 51psi before we let off. dropped quick. outside temp was around 12-15c. for ethanol, I wouldn't go much past e20 on stock pump. it'll be pump 93 until around 20psi and an ethanol blend on the "aggressive" map.

Tony how is the 8HP45 handling the power? I have the 8HP45 also and Ken from CANtcu was saying about 650-700whp the 8HP45 starts to hit its limits. What are you hear?

it's been fine thus far! doubt I'll have issue around 650whp. only issue is if you're digging all the time.

nope, just port injection to supplement and take the strain off the direct injection. you can't beat the Drivability of the DI system.

Just read forums and fix your own shit bro. 6 years ago I couldn't tell you what a turbo was. Now I build my own motors both diesels and gas. I have built my own transmission as well the 48re in my truck. I have an awd N54 E90 and I just did my rod bearings, oil pan gasket, pure stage 2 turbos with inlets. I did it in my garage on jack stands. Car runs great! It's literally just nuts and bolts. Take your time, have the necessary tools and dig in.

Word of advice don’t push your 128i… get a 135i with an n55 or n54. Will save you some money and trouble.
