That's brilliant! (no pun intended). I will pick one up this weekend. I've welded the top of exhaust using a mirror - that's a bit weird to do, though....

Good morning, another video that I learn a very useful amount of tricks, tips, and techniques. Your mini pipe vice is just so righteous. I like the fact that you can use it in shop vice making it very handy and clever. Heat shrinking never ceases to amaze me. Your technique with the heat gun is a new one to me. Thanks for sharing expertise and craftsmanship. Take care and good luck.

Just binge watched your project. Had to laugh when you mentioned your tig welder set off your smoke alarms. I had the same issue in my basement shop. Hated to disable it but its connected to other smokes in the house and I kept scaring the #&$@%: out of my wife. I’ve got a lot of the same equipment you have but you are teaching me different ways to use them. I’ll keep gathering around.......

Yep. I have a 61 also. It was my first vehicle in 1985. Still have it.

I don't have a rusty truck, but I do have a '61 Austin Mini, so you know it's rusty. I'm working at removing the rusty bits and replacing them with new steel. It's a tedious process, but worth every minute of my time.

I love early Mini's. I have also been a bit afraid of the rust, but I'm less afraid of it now (grin)

Epoxy primer, my tool, my friend. Without you I rust, I trust, you’ll do your job well. Never run out, or to the store I will thrust out, money.
