Thank you Elia. I changed my stalk using your guidance. Turns out the stalk was fine though….I then changed the wiper motor which solved the problem.

Excellent video - well done. Easy to follow and understand. You make some great points such as @3:05 - ensure the steering wheel is marked to the shaft. Would have been great to have the “professional” filmed @10:10 to see what the mystery is with regards to reconnecting the airbag. I thought you were doing really well up to that point, why not just reconnect it? The battery was already disconnected - what could go wrong? From an old mechanic, let me offer some positive feedback. @6:50 you rightly mention not to over tighten the fastener as it will crack the plastic. I have seen so many trades people over the years strip threads and over tighten fasteners because of battery powered tools. My advice is to learn to start every fastener by hand like you did @9:23 and then the final torque by using a ratchet. Get the feel for what “tight” actually feels like by using a ratchet. @10:36 you did the test to check your work. Nothing feels better than doing a job and then testing to ensure you solved the problem 👍 However, it’s best not to operate wipers on a dry windscreen - it scratches the glass. Once again - great video 👍 I’m interested to see what other videos you have made and will in the future, particularly if they are of the same quality

followed all the steps and the dashboard is showing a warning: “ESP faulty, visit workshop” - even if I put the original part back. Any suggestions for a fix?

@@atosz066 The car computer gives that message if you put the steering wheel back on straight, but overly rotated by a multiple of 360 degrees from its original alignment.

@@SamyHamdaneso how did you determine that the steering wheel was rotated by 360 from the original position? iCarsoft reader? Are you referring to the component at @7:40? and not rotating that - is that the steering angle sensor? Getting the steering wheel and throwing it up in the air while rotating it should make zero difference as long as the splines of the wheel and the steering shaft line up as per the mark made @3:04
