My ep3 was the same. I fitted a non resonated centre section and a spoon n1 back box and on cold start it used to echo all around the little estate that I live on 😅 I never had any issues with any of my neighbours but when I started a new job that required me to leave my house at 4:30 every morning I took it upon myself to fit a resonated centre section again. Which in all fairness actually sounded better anyway

I guess it depends on usage and as a daily, stock is well worth it IMO. Plus, after I did my first long journey with stock setup, I was well happy 😂
@joshmerrick471621 күн бұрын
@ exactly. If it’s a weekend or fair weather then having an asbo exhaust isn’t really going to annoy anyone that much. But as a daily if it’s annoying you as the driver it’s definitely getting on others nerves too haha

Hi mate, thanks for putting this video together. What is the tool that you start using at 12:52 to start removing the rust?
@GeesDrive7 ай бұрын
It's a dremel tool with the cable extension on and the ire-brush attachment. Gets in all the nooks and crannies.

Only just found your channel (I'm a fellow Red FN2 owner), and I've already watched half a dozen of your videos. Out of Interest what size spacers did you end up fitting as it's not mentioned in the video. It looks like you've got two different sizes, so I'd be interested in what you've fitted front and rear. Keep up the great work, you've earned yourself another Subscriber 🙂

The most common rust point on these is above the front windscreen as they didnt seal them properly

I see this rust issue in england is it because of the weather? Does this happen for all cars?
@GeesDrive7 ай бұрын
Main reason it that it seemingly rains all the time here but also the local authorities spray the roads with salt/grit during winter to help stop the roads freezing. This stuff is really bad for cars.

Hi dude just watching video again. What was the small tool you used to clean the rust? When you was doing the wheel arches , dremel?

Yes a multi-tool with wire brush, not brilliant for the bit areas but good for the smaller bits.

My OEM exhast needs replacing and so I've ordered the Scorpion resonated twin exit system. I wanted something quiet and as close to OEM as possible. Could be a good option for you in the future.

Hi. I have a 2011 FN2 GT. Honda keep reminding me i need new exhaust heat shields on each of the last two services although i have no rattling. Have you experienced any issues seeing that you swapped your exhaust system?
@GeesDrive11 ай бұрын
I've not had any obvious issues with the heat-shield although they're in pretty ropey condition on mine. Perhaps that's what they mean.
@redlineste428311 ай бұрын
@GeesDrive cheers. I'd like to put a cat back stainless system on mine in the future but think I'll replace the heat shields first then. Great to see a fellow FN2 enthusiast channel. 👍

have you used grease everywhere or just what shown on video?
@GeesDrive8 ай бұрын
I just used the moto grease on the more vulnerable areas like bolt heads. The rest just got a spray over. The grease is basically more heavy duty protection 👍
