Could be the clocking ribbon timer. One of those tiny pins is not working or short circuit. If you only remove one of the two ribbons and turn on the tv, you should see half the screen. If you don’t see any change, put the ribbon back and take out the other one. Turn tv on. You should see half screen. The one that is unplugged has the issue with one of the pins or clocking chip. Tape can fix issue but you need to be very precise on where to cover the pin. You will have to test each pin individually to find out which one is the bad one. Once you find the one pin, just keep it covered and your TV should work fine. This only works if this is a ribbon clocking issue.

False title. Fixing your remote and replacing the power cable doesn’t fix a broke TELEVISION. It fixes a broken remote and faulty power cable. The only “help” is being told to replace internals..

Thank you for your video. I have a question. When I plug in the Vizio 44” and power it on the indicator light blinks a few times and the television powers on, and the VIZIO logo appears on the screen, then nothing. Just black screen. Like it’s powered back off. This is a pretty new tv. Maybe 2 months old. The batteries are new. The outlet is good. It’s fair to add that this particular tv only has a power button on the tv. There is no other buttons no volume or input buttons on the tv so there is no way to do the manual reset. Should I just replace the tv and never buy Vizio again?
