Been playing Asphalt 9 on this ever since it first came out and A9 became one of the first games to be released on Play Games Beta. Works like a charm on my new laptop but never worked on my old laptop. It's still being optimized for more and more PCs and processors as we speak, so hopefully Google doesn't ditch this and keeps on improving it further, this app can be revolutionary.

@@r1ftzy I'm an Android player so I mainly used to play on phone, but being able to play on the same account on my laptop was of big help. This was before cross-save and cross-platform was introduced in the Unite update. Now, i mainly just play on the Microsoft Store version (my phone has been struggling with the latest update), so I don't need the steam version. And i still have the Play Games Beta version too cuz that allows me to play on a minimised window and puts less stress on the cpu than the MS Store version, helpful when my laptop isn't plugged in.

@@Azem4144 Play Games is definitely more optimised than any other emulator since it doesn't run through any third and fourth party servers. It's been developed by the official developers for playing on PC, verified by Google, for playing on their official emulator. It's basically like Play Store but for your PC, from where you can directly install the game and start playing.

The emulator kernel is compiled for x86_64 architectures, and essentially no code emulation of the applications themselves occurs. You are essentially installing a native version of the application, and it works as it should (because it is compiled for your processor architecture) with near-native perfomance, however, you will not be able to install applications compiled for arm, as the system kernel itself can only accept x86_64 applications. In essence, the emulation here is only a server for transforming shader elements, directly from Vulkan, or Nexus, to a supported DX architecture, meaning there is only a graphics API translator here, and nothing more! As you have already noticed, installing applications through the installer in the system itself will not work, because this possibility is disabled in the image itself + the image is maximally stripped down in terms of functionality, and most of the settings simply will not open, as in essence, all the settings are also stripped down. It remains to wait until someone assembles a custom system image.

The only advantage of the Google emulator is that it uses a more up-to-date Android version, that's all. I am using ldplayer. It is much more useful with the customizations it offers.

4:58 this error shows that there is no obb of that game in the obb folder in Android DIR. When you install it from playstore it'll setup obb itself but if you install it from sideloader you have to setup the obb manually! Thanks!😊

Look, Google is simply rejecting obb or specific data download from play-store. It happens on mobile devices when you download an apk and your google account doesn't own the game. It looks like google is using this piracy blocking technique for his emulator too. To sum up, Any side-loaded app will not work if it requests internal download from play store.

The reason that Free Fire didn't start up is because it is linked to the Play Store, and if it is not purchased on the Play Store, you can't play it. Certain apps/games have these checks to prevent players from sideloading and playing the game. Simple answer.
