Katherine Cannon I'm hoping in a couple years there will still be some decent FJs around not just driven as dailies with high mileage. Otherwise I'm thinking bout the new bronco if there's a good after market for it
@saltylikesalineicurn7 жыл бұрын
I've looked into the bronco as well but they haven't released much about the way it will be built if it will be a true bof suv or if it will be a crossover with a beefy body and unfortunately what I've read said it will be more crossover type with a smaller engine
@znovosad5557 жыл бұрын
Katherine Cannon what I've seen so far says it'll be an offroad type vehicle. Slightly bigger than the original bronco but slightly smaller than the OBS bronco. I'd consider a Tacoma or ranger though too. Only problem then is I would need to get cap.

Before there were American billionaires, someone asked a well-known millionaire, "How much (money) is enough?" Answer: Just a little bit more. I think the same holds true for off-pavement rigs. The last vehicle we bought new was a base model '99 Wrangler. The day after we bought it, my wife (and without consulting me) exchanged the 205/75/15 tires for a set of 5 235/75/15s. WE drove it until 2008 when someone made a left turn in front of our daughter in the rain. So I think we should get a vehicle that is "just a little bit more" capable than our base model '99 Wrangler was. I liked your video because it seemed that the FJ was being driven right at its limit of capability. Was the FJ being highlighted in the video was the base model? If so, what options did it have, if any? Was it modified in any way? Did it have the SIZE tires that came on it from the factory? Can anyone tell us whether the FJ is "a little bit more" capable than our base model '99 Wrangler (with 235s) was? Not using the "music" would make it easier to hear the vehicles working but at least the music isn't too loud.
@colorado4x4adventures627 жыл бұрын
Hi there the fj cruiser is very capable off road in stock versions that is for sure . On this video you can see stock and modifyd FJs . Next time hook a chain_strap to the back of the stuck vehicle at a 45 to 90degree angle from the attached point ( best to hook to receiver on hitch) then pull forward. This will pull both front and rear of truck back ou onto the road as you pull on the front of the vehicle.

Black one, Missing Bumper ends but that's ok I want to throw on an ARB anyway. Still has the Cooper ATP spare. I replaced the Duratracs with KO2s OE size because the bigger ones were rubbing but I think that's because it needed work on control Arms and suspension which I have now done. I will go back to 285s next go around. I replaced side marker bulbs, and it needs a new backup camera. I'd also like to have it repainted as the paint has seen better days. I may also change the color to green or the Khaki as Black is impossible to keep clean. At the same time I will also have some of the window weatherstripping and taping replaced as they have also seen better days but that's common. All will come with time and money and I have connections at the dealership to save me some dough when I need it. 164,000 miles and still going strong. Toyotas are bulletproof and I always wanted one of these compared to my old Previa that bit the dust after 27 years and 240,000 miles. I keep meticulous maintainmence and cleaning. I'm a Nazi about it. Engine only needed new Spark Plugs and a few Fuid flushes. All Genuine Toyota parts so will run a long time. Shocks and Struts came off a brand new 4Runner Off Road that they did a build on, we had a pallet of them no one wanted so free was music to my ears but the labor got pricey breaking rusty bolts and cams. All new Genuine Toyota and coated in Anti-sieze so no more Rust issues. I don't off road as seriously as in this video, just some trails for Fly Fishing adventures which it handles like a champ. Get alot of admirers, no chicks though lol. But if I were doing that kind of off roading I would be more likely running KM3s. Commented on a couple (one had a 4Runner the other a Jeep...who buys a Jeep these days? Except my friend who I also bullied into buying KO2s) but these guys both had brand new KM3s all the way around so clearly the shut up and take my money platnum credit card came out. ;)
