Thanks for the video. I’d love to see a tutorial on how to liquify the arms, legs etc as you do in these kind of portrait shoots!

I enjoyed the video. I liked the breakdown on Lightroom and photoshop. I only wish you would have shown specifically what was done in photoshop. I liked that the Lightroom and photoshop part wasn’t too long and time consuming. Great job

As always, thanks for the great explanations - I notice that you always use an umbrella (or sorts) when shooting. Have you used MagMod modifiers before? and what are your thoughts on that?....better or worse than standard umbrellas?

Nice job Francisco. I commented to Eli after his last video that the two of you are producing valuable tutorials. Your styles are structured, methodical, and very informative. As a new photographer, I couldn’t ask for more. Keep up the great work. By the way, is Rob Hall from the Valley too or were you guys at a conference together? Regards- Elbert from “The 361”

Hey bud, was wondering which do you prefer the V860II or this V1?planning to get one today... Doing my research saying it's almost the same power wise. Hope you can give me an input on this. Thanks

I'd go with the V1. It actually has a little more power than the V860II.

I tried doing this with 1.8f and 1/8000, end up still bright background. Any tip in making darker background? Or I should just put the aperture lower?
@fjhphoto
@fjhphoto 5 жыл бұрын
Ron yason the time of time is important. If you're shooting at noon for example that's gonna be near impossible to darken the background even with 1/8000th and f/1.8. You might need to stop down further to f/2.8-f/4. Or if you prefer not to do that you may need a ND filter. I'd need more info on the light used, time of day, weather conditions, and location to really help you out.
@RonYason

Makes sense, I think filter is the best way to go as well.. Thanks for everything, we were chatting as well in Instagram... Kudos to you sir

great video as always every time i see your work im just blown away. My question is how do you know how much ambient light to let in and how much to light your models. I always struggle with this, trying to find the correct balance, for example when youy zoom in on your models face, where abouts do you like the histogram to fall? You mentioned the quality of light, could you explain that concept a little bit please? Thanks as always =)
@Miketz
@Miketz 5 жыл бұрын
The artificial/ambient ratio depends entirely on the look you are after. But having said that, using a strobe for fill at 30/70 ratio works very well. Buying a light meter helps a *lot* when starting out.

I do enjoy all your videos. But for my benefit, even though I understand what your saying, you should slow down a bit when you speak. Spanish is my native language. In a future video, please explain how you blend exposures to get rid of the umbrella in the picture. Thank you. Keep up your good work!!
