There is actually a custom python script available online that allows the FL Key to work with external plugins. Ian Walker has a video about it on his channel where he goes over the installation process and how the script works. The installation process is as simple as dropping the script file in a folder and then reloading the FL Key MIDI controller scripts within the MIDI settings menu in FL Studio.

I've been using this keyboard for almost the whole year and its the best controller for fl studio hands down i even learned new scales

The main thing about this keyboard isn't the quality, self features or anything but the best compatibility with fl studio compared to any other midis in the market. It's definitely not the best midi keyboard in the market but I would say it's best for FL to me till now.

When playing chords in the scale do you have to select chord type or does it automatically only play chords in the scale. Say c maj scale press c and its cmaj press d and its d minor etc.

Hey my friend, I can’t use the channel rack on my flkey 49 , I can access the rack with a mouse but not on my flkey 49 never happened before, tried shift + channel rack but no luck ,the lights under the each channel on the key 49 highlighted in blue the master solo button bright white and I clicked on it doesn’t do nothing , when I click on the buttons of the channels the light turn from blue to green ,I updated the flkey 49 and reset it to factory mode but still no joy ,I don’t know if I’m not doing it right or something Thanks man

ive got the same issue going on. when i hit shift all i get are the "custom" and Chords pads lit up. I cant access the other midi settings otherwise

The navigation controls didn't work for me when I pressed the record button and tried to navigate the different recording options. The pads lit up but didn't work how they're supposed to.

I have to say, it depends on the music style. For me I need at least 61 keys, pref 88 or more. 48 keys is to tiny. (got the flkeys 61 btw) Thanks for video anyhows

when you said all the controls only work for fl studio plugins, do you also mean the piano keys?!?!

No, I am fairly sure that the keys are agnostic in that regard and should function fine with any plugin. It's just the faders and knobs that don't. However, even that can be remedied by installing a python script that allows it to work with most third party plugins. Ian Walker has a video called "FLkey - External Plugin Control (using Python script)" that goes over how it works and how to install it. It's quite simple to install, so definitely give that video a watch.

No. It is designed to work inline with FL plugins and generators. There is no onboard storage to save any kind of presets.

As much as I like the effort, it baffles me Novation/Image-Line forgot an XY pad and as this is even be better. My Korg Taktile does everything here, has the same great keys the KingKorg has and it's XY-pad has 2 extra buttons so it even replaces my mouse. And this was released 9 years ago!

I would say, novation missed the mark on a few features but to finally get a midi keyboard that really communicates with FL is like "finally". 😆😮‍💨

Sure, there are thousands of keyboards available with a lot of features that you can hook up on FL Studio. This Novation keyboard is especially designed for FL Studio to meet certain needs or purposes and has smoothly integration without hickups. I bought the FLkey-61 for just 256 euro. I think it's an absolute bargain. In other words you get a lot for a very friendly and reasonable price. Hey bro I liked that the paper towel shred was still on your neck. Your presentation doesn't have to be perfect. Nowadays everybody wants to look flawless. You got your message across and you explained it very well in my opinion.
