Just downloaded this and exfer Serum synth plugin..... I'm on mac with garage band but chose to use this as around 26 years ago when I was around 16... I'm 42 now... I used to stay at my aunties and she had this thing called a pc at home.... I used to buy pc mags for the demos... I used to spend hours on a program called fruit loops making music..... I can't believe here I am listening to techno all these years later and thinking I'm gonna use my mac to make some.... teach my 11 year old lad how to create it too as out of my 3 sons he has the creative streak.... so thanks for the recap n tutorial..... it looks like its changed somewhat, but the basic daw thing is still the same..... got me thinking now if FL studio was one of the first daws on the market..... Will deffo check out your other vids and sub.... will be showing this my son as its straight forward and easy to understand. Thanks again !!!!

Thanks a LOT! The "split by channel" is what I was looking for. I bought the Fruity Edition back in 2016 and only used it to make various sound effects for creating stock audio clips. Now I have download FL Studio v20 and wanted to create a 2-3 minute beat and was totally lost as to how this whole process works. You got a new subscriber !!!!!

Splice has a lot of good sounds for a pretty cheap monthly rate.. Lots of drum samples from actual drum sets

@@TrygonMedia you want to apply pitch correction to an audio sample? Edison isn’t the plug-in to do that.. autotune is a good plugin for that but it is expensive.. try pitcher.. it comes already loaded in fl studio

How complex can your beats get from a free version of fl studio?

You won’t be able to record audio at all and I’m pretty sure there is not as many plugins/effects offered with the fruity edition.. you can always upgrade though later on and pay the difference

Can someone please help me!! You know how you click on your channel rack and it makes a noise mine doesn’t do that. How can I fix that or what do I do??

Here are a couple of things to check.. 1) make sure you are in pattern mode and not song mode (this can be selected at the top of FL studio just to the left of the play button) 2) make sure the volume knob is turned up for that channel on both the channel rack and the mixer track fader that it is assigned to (if it isn’t assigned to a mixer track then it will default to the master channel so make sure your master channel volume fader is turned up) 3) if you aren’t hearing any sound come out of FL Studio at all when you click on the sound in the browser then you likely have your output set up incorrectly.
