Is that now 4 main DAWs which now support CLAP? So much for those who said it would never catch on. If I'm right, Bitwig, FL Studio v24, Reaper, and Studio One v7 now all support CLAP plugins. There's probably only Ableton Live remaining, out of the big/most successful non-Steinberg or AVID-owned DAWs (who will obviously continue to favour their own proprietary formats).

when are these companies / corporations going to get it. R2R will forever outsmart you, and often times make your releases run better, use less ram, have less size (deleted BS protection that will just get cracked) etc etc etc. Make your releases for the people, stop with the fuckery and BS bloatware. I pay for software, but i still use the R2R version, because its optimized and runs better than the actual release.

@@akira20ish Very wise if you think about it... One of the reasons I bought it is because they have a free trial that you can use every feature and the only draw back is you can't reopen the project. I tried slow tools (protocols ahem..)with it's many limitations I settled on FL studio and I upgraded too... If I bought any other DAW I ain't paying for silly updates I've tried almost all DAWS out there still... FL is great using it right now to make my album as I type 😂😂😂and make videos on it too... For the price it's amazing...

The other day I thought of an idea for an audio plugin, but then immediately got this intense headache and it almost made me pass out. Turns out that was just R2R cracking it inside my head telepathicly! I couldn't believe it when I checked audioz 15 mins later and my plugin was just there. Didn't need to code or test it or anything, R2R is just THAT good at what they do!

Regarding the dancing doll I think they are referring to the dancing voodoo doll. There is a sound pack called voodoo and if you install that and open the daw at night you can see a dancing voodoo doll at the corner of the window. I saw it once and got spooked out. The truth is obviously more complicated, hard drives cannot be faster than RAM (even enterprise NVMes are at least 100x slower than RAM, in terms of latency). But the point was probably that if you don't have enough RAM (so many people have laptops with 16GB or even 8GB, ew) then trying to fit everything into RAM will cause it to be swapped back to disk by the operating system. Meanwhile, if the DAW is smart about keeping only, let's say, the initial 50ms of every not-currently-playing-clip in RAM, it can then still load it in time from disk to RAM when the clip gets launched. Actually programming this is a lot, lot, lot more complicated than just "in RAM" or "on disk".

Not upgrading until they add actual automation clips, and not just infinite lanes that you cannot properly copy&paste. The only feature where Studio One is absolutely miles ahead is having integration with some sample libraries where you can right-click on a bunch of notes and select the articulation that the sample library plugin provides on the fly.

I'm just not happy about having to $150 every couple years. I got version 4 Artist free with an interface I paid $100 for. Paid $300 to upgrade to 5, then another $150 to upgrade my License to 6. Now they're telling me they want another $150 for 7, and to expect that every couple of years. Fuck that shit. You all don't even want to know what I have paid for DAW instructional videos to learn S1 on top of that. It's exploitation, and I am about sick of it.
