Brilliant and informative review Kevin thankyou. It was an instant purchase for me two weeks ago but not really had the time yet to experiement, so watching this a few times will really help seeing you demonstrate it's benefits with regards Orchestral composition. Hopefully Lukas will fix any remaining issues . I do find Studio One quite frustrating at times, although invested very heavily in their hardware to compliment the DAW. It seems the MIDI side has been rather neglected lately as they develop with the aim of broadening the appeal to a wide audience of users. So this is a big step forwards to the chord track functionality and is extremely welcome and a big thumbs up to Lukas for developing it.

Extremely useful tool. Great overview and tip on arranging before merging chords to keep your voicing intentions!

I've never had a problem with harmonizing, but i like the uses it has for chords. Nice walkthrough, Kevin.

This looks like a great product; and it is definitely a great video. The energy and pacing were really effective and made it easy to follow; and the detail and insight was spot on.

Wow. This is making me think of going back to Studio 1 from Logic... now that I'm doing more orchestral stuff it seems lke a real timesaver. Great video!

Great video, Kevin und kudos to Lukas. It seems to be a nice tool but I'm really no sure if it fits my needs as an orchestral composer. With that many options I had to "climb" a steep learning curve to get anything out of it. And I don't want to produce a chunk of blocky chords even if they're nicely voiced. As a starting point maybe, yes. For chord creation they are better and speciaized tools like Scaler, I guess. This is tool is perhaps better suited for pop or edm producers.

Do I have to use the S1 chord track or what if I use scaler 2?

This looks excellent. Similar to divisimate. Are you familiar?

Hey Kevin, can Harmony Wizard be used with Scoring Tools as well?
@studioonetutorials3 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use both add-ons together and also combine features of both products.

That would be nice. We can do something similar with divisimate

Hey Kevin, toller Content!

Presonus should be adding this for free to subscribers. Instead of the bullshit loops and other crap they keep feeding me. Not that I’d use it

Hi Nigel. PreSonus cannot add this for free to subscribers because it's not a PreSonus product. It's one of my side projects as a freelance musician and software developer.

Useless IMO. Using any of the harmony features means you don't really know whats going on in your music…..plus block woodwind chords!😂

This tool is useless even for someone who knows what they are doing. I bought it, tried it and then remembered S1 is still missing a lot of scales and most modes.

May be very helpful to others but for me this is useless without the missing scales and modes.

Since Studio One 7, you can add any custom scale you want.

Musicianship has got so bad in 2024 that people can't play harmonies? Strewth! This is what happens when you let DJ's into the studio. 🙁
@russelledwards24052 ай бұрын
Loaded question. Plenty of people who can play harmonies can find use for this. It's a tool. Nothing more or less. It will not replace musicianship. Some of the most successful musicians in history had less than perfect knowledge of music theory. A person using something like this exclusively will end up with a composition too mechanical sounding to be useful. Most of the music that comes out of dj culture would find this useless since it lacks the genre specific exceptions to theory that give these subgenres their character.

Not fair and not part of the deal. Expected to 'have it all' with the Studio One + subscription. It appears 'not' with this extra 3rd party feature... 😔

harmony wizard can be acquired separtly as a third party macro. I GOT IT FOR STUDIO ONE 6, LONG BEFOR THE DROP OF STUDIO ONE 7
@russelledwards24052 ай бұрын
Are you expecting to get fab filter, waves mercury and a pair of monitors free too?
@JackPellis2 ай бұрын
@@russelledwards2405No. Studio one has it all, except for the pair of monitors which is hardware gear. Melodyne and Notion are also included. That's the idea of a full package to me. Harmony wizard is software and fits in the idea of a "full software package" to me.

it's really buggy and bad :< extreme price for lil macros.
@studioonetutorials2 ай бұрын
Hey Billy, I offered you help for all the questions you had via email. What you called buggy turned out to be that you did not read or watch any of the documentation or video tutorials. Also, these are not macros, but additional MIDI editing commands for Studio One. I'm sad that you chose to threaten me with the police via email to get a refund and spread misinformation in all the videos about the product instead of looking at the online manual that I spent several weeks creating. -LR
