Nah, the dialogue is specifically meant to play in the camp. It's from the same file as when Aylin is there with her. Any effects on the audio are generated in realtime based on the location you are currently in.

Same here, one thing I tried was solving the Shadow Druid quest for the good outcome and then leaving the area to the Creche area and then going back. When you go back to the grove all the tieflings are gone with just the druids there. I then finished the grove off with the goblins thinking I'm home free. Sadly, no tieflings at Last Light regardless which is lame.

This is actually really amazing! Losing Last Light Inn and all the NPCs for act 3 is the main reason why I only ever have Sharran Shadowheart around in my evil murder hobo Durge playthroughs. Which is kinda of a shame because she has a lot of distinct voice lines from normal Shadowheart.

This implies at one point that the last light inn would not have fallen due to this choice, so I wonder why they changed it. It does make sense that perhaps Selune faltered in a moment of grief and let the protection lapse. I guess you would have still been able to team up with the Harpers to assist moonrise? Maybe they thought it was a fitting result of going down the evil route. Also it’s crazy as a cleric/paladin of Selune you still keep your powers. I’m sure it’s only because of the threat of the absolute, but I wonder if Tav is gonna get dropped after the netherbrain is dead.

Anyhow obligatory comment of wanting secret dialogue for raiding the grove hidden away somewhere to be added by Larian. And, obligatory comment about Minthara, but this time it's a comment and not a request. I've found recent dialogue in game of her being addressed by Z'rell when returning to Moonrise from the Gauntlet, and also by Balthazar when in your party walking to the gauntlet. Maybe it's bad memory or user error, but I don't remember that triggering before.

I love your videos, mate! They're always so informative and entertaining. I love discovering new things about this game that I'll (probably) never actually get to experience for myself. I'm on PS5, so my options are pretty limited as far as fixing bugs and shit is concerned - but Isobel hasn't been in my camp (or anywhere else, afaik) since the beginning of Act Three. And by that, I mean the last time I saw & spoke to her was at Moonrise Towers at the end of Act Two - and even then she acted super strange; like her and Dame Aylin never spoke to or about each other, they never had a reunion scene... none of that. It really sucks, and not just for story purposes, either - because I really wanted to knock her ass out and steal her unique equipment 😭 (Also, every time I see Isobel I have a little bit of whiplash... because she looks almost _exactly_ like one of my ex-girlfriend's lol 😒)

There are lots of weird things like that. For instance playing as dark urge, you find out you are bhalspawn and you can tell every companion about it except Jaheria unless you have triggered the camp scene where she watches you as you have nightmares. Or when finding a literal document that describes Jergel as Withers you also cannot confront him. I’m sure he would refuse to talk about it but it sure is frustrating that the PC won’t acknowledge it.

If your avatar isn't part of the conversation, you don't influence her at all and she always kills Nightsong. It's just not a situation seen very often, since your character has to be dead when the conversation starts.

I could never again, always have to save Shadowheart from Shar and reunite Isobel and Dame Aylin. One evil playthrough and it was so hard to do, it hurt to see everyone fall to their worsts self. Only saving nightsong from now on and making sure Shadowheart is happy and safe and same with dame.

I really can't say. It seems unlikely they planned everything around using Silence to prevent the cutscene, but then again, they did just make using Silence to skip Marcus an intentionally recognized method, so anything is possible, with Larian. One of the bits of Isobel dialogue that I showed in camp specifically requires you to have talked to Isobel in Moonrise post-Myrkul without Nightsong there. It has it's own unique flag for that scenario. So they certainly planned _something_

There is extra dialogue in the file for if you have the moon lantern itself, but I've not actually tested it in-game. Oh, and the blessing also gives you a Necrotic Resistance buff, which is quite useful throughout Act 2.

Hmm, you could probably do it even after the Balthazar fight, since you have to click Nightsong to start her conversation, in that case. Should be as simple as moving the Silence caster far enough away to not get pulled into the conversation. But at the moment, I haven't tested it.

For anyone other than Shadowheart, you can become a "Paladin of " by multiclassing a Cleric that picked that deity. In Shadowheart's case, she is always devoted to Shar (well, unless she swaps to Selune), so you can make her a pure Paladin and she will still be a Paladin of Shar. In Early Access, all paladins could choose a deity, which is why there are so many "Paladin of " checks in the dialogue files.

Hey are you able to figure out if the swapped Lae'zel/Shadowheart fight cutscene is able to play naturally without manually setting flags? There's a whole cutscene where companion Lae'zel will be the one to jump companion Shadowheart (not origin) instead of the other way around. A couple Larian staff said it's possible in game (but not likely) but I'm not sure if it works. The flag is "d68af374-5808-5b37-210c-21f9e1c8c201", --ORI_Shadowheart_Event_LaezelFirst to force it to happen when the fight scene occurs

Ok, so, here's what I found. I could only find one place that the "ORI_Shadowheart_Event_LaezelFirst" flag is actually set to True. It's during the Tutorial (Nautiloid), if you freed Shadowheart from the pod. Which means we should be seeing the Lae'zel-on-top fight all the time, right? Well, the trigger checks for a Global flag called, "TUT_TransformChamber_State_FreedShadowheart" but that flag is an Object flag (set on a specific character). There IS a Global flag, but it's called, "TUT_TransformChamber_State_ShadowheartFreed" . . Both are set when you free Shadowheart from the pod, but since the "FreedShadowheart" is not in the global database, the check returns false. Now, I cannot say for certain that there is not some other way that the "ORI_Shadowheart_Event_LaezelFirst" flag could be set. Shadowheart's "IrregularBehavior" flag is my white whale: I know when and why it's set, empirically, but it is never set in any Goal or dialogue file, or any other file that I've searched through. The game has SOME way to set it that triggers when going to camp, but I don't know how it does it. So, that said, the same could be true for the Lae'zel/Shadowheart fight flag and I wouldn't know it. But if no one has ever seen it happen unmodded, I'm leaning toward the bug explanation. Funny thing is, if that bug IS the actual explanation and it's meant to check the proper flag, if it was fixed, the Lae'zel version of the fight would become the more common version (assuming most people free Shadowheart from the pod).

I've never played Dark Urge, so I can't say for certain (should probably do that, one of these days). But I did find posts of people saying that Isobel dying at the end of the fight against Ketheric/Myrkul in the colony did count for getting slayer.

@@theredeft5319 I've never tried the evil Isobel route, so again, I can't confirm. But from what I read, it seems that Isobel always dies at the end of the Myrkul fight, even if you don't kill her yourself.

@@SlimXGShe definitely does not. I just finished a good durge run where I didn’t kill her. She and Aylin come to your camp later as normal. She only dies if you kill yourself directly, let Markus get her, or kill nightsong. I am talking about whether it counts for getting slayer form if you kill her in the tower after the fight is over when all your Allie’s come to chat before you leave for Act 3.

@@theredeft5319 Again, I haven't tried it, but what I was referring to is if Isobel is kidnapped by Marcus (what the original comment asked about), and Isobel shows up in Myrkulized form during the fight with Ketheric in the colony, I read that she always dies at the end of that fight. If that's not true, and she some how recovers from the glowing yellow eyes, then it's all news to me. I do know that you can kill her in Moonrise after Myrkul even on a more normal encounter with Ketheric, though, again, I have not tested it myself to confirm the method.

Hahah I don't know why they actually decided to fix that trick to work properly. It was an odd choice. They _could_ change things more generally to stop Silence from breaking cutscenes, but they seem to like the "Well, if they're Silenced, they can't talk" explanation.

Maybe kill her and leave her body at camp, and try reviving her in act 3? Used to kinda work for Karlach and Wyll when siding with the goblins, although I made the mistake of reviving him in act2 then going back to the act 1 to enter the mountain pass area and he vanished from my camp, never came back but the game acted like he was still there. Mizora came to ask the party to tell Wyll to free her, and then when we encountered her in the mind flayer company and I purged her, everyone freaked out that he died even though he had dipped basically.

Yeah, I think it allows for a pretty interesting route. And one that seems that Larian intended to be normally doable, at some point, to bother recording all that Isobel dialogue.

It's cool, but it *shouldn't* work. Instead of "fixing" it so marcus doesn't show up later, they should have fixed it so he showed up anyway and so that the inn was still destroyed. That's what makes the most sense in universe. Silence shouldn't prevent cutscene events except in VERY specific cases where sounds or spells are critical to the event happening. Normally this kind of design is absolutely awesome, and one of the things I like most about BG3 is how much effort larian put into allowing you to work around or find alternate solutions to things, and canonizing it when you did. This particular workaround though doesn't make sense, so I think it should have been squashed.
