I just wanna mention that this place is not abandoned. We arrived and asked if we could walk around. The people that were there said no problem. Also in the museum we had the doors unlocked so we can see inside the expedition. This place isn’t fully closing but parts are I strongly recommend that no one goes here as it is owned at the end of the Explore a lady come up to us and said we need to now leave as the locking up not once did we break in and not once did we say this place was abandoned.
@FairGround7DeLoreanКүн бұрын
@AWE83 maybe say this at the start of the video and be transparent instead of selling it like something it's not. It can be dangerous you advertising it as "abandoned" as more urban explorers than done bring the cameras would trespass on a site that security don't need that hassle. Be responsible for your words.
@kathythepink123Күн бұрын
Hello, no hate here, just curiosity and slight confusion 🤔 I think people's comments regarding it not being abandoned is because you began your video with saying that it is "completely abandoned". Also wondered why you were shown to be running away from security when you claim you had permission? What was the need to therefore run and keep your heads and voices low? Hmm 🤷🏻♀️🤥
@FairGround7DeLoreanКүн бұрын
@AWE83 "not once did we say this place is abandoned" 0:09 so what's that ?
@kathythepink123Күн бұрын
@@FairGround7DeLorean Absolutely. I can sense some lies going on here, which is surprising. Also, if you listen to the beginning of the video whilst he is driving his vehicle, he said about going evening time around 5pm (It is dark by this time now, hence definitely an attempt to sneak in!!!!). Little confused if they were "granted permission"? Certainly don't think that's the case, too many red flags. My concern is it will attract vandals/theifs. Be such a shame as it was a beautiful theme park and my kids loved it.

Really enjoyed that Dave, thank you for letting us see it. One thing you mentioned was the different smells in the wartime and Victorian shops/homes. Museums can buy different oils/smells and pump them into an area. My sister worked at a mining museum some years ago and among other "fragrances" she had to purchase the smell of pit ponies - true story..

My family are regular visitors to Cornwall and a day at Flambards was always part of our holiday. It's a shame and tbh, a little bit heart breaking that this and other attractions are having to close their doors because of rising costs, etc- even premier attractions such as Alton Towers are reportedly having problems. As far as Flambards is concerned, I hope they manage to save/relocate the Victorian Village, before any disrespectful little s*it heads get in and wreck the place. This part of Flambards was always a highlight for us and worth a visit on it's own.

So, if they do it to early it’s wrong… to late it’s a tragedy and can’t see any resemblance of what once was. This theme park won’t be here in 2-10 years to explore.. It may not be a 20 yr abandoned site.. but they are documenting a piece of childhood history that will soon be erased. Thank you!!! Thank you for showing us this gem. And taking us with you on a childhood memory!! Lots of love!

Um, aren't you forgetting that this place is not abandoned because Flambards have recently posted on Facebook to say that they've had to deal with you trespassers? It's nice that you've shown around the place being closed down recently, but you're going to get yourself into trouble, especially if this video of yours attracts vandals, then it's likely that Flambards could sue you for this.

Crikey! Blast from my past! Visited here in 1993. My mates Dad had just left the Army and we had finished High school the year before and started College together. My mates family wanted to go on a nice Summer holiday to Cornwall, do some windsurfing on some warm Cornwall waters. We visited a lot of places in our time down there. This place was amongst one of the places we visted while on holiday. I remember the place really well, I even have the photos of the place in my Cornwall Album. I had to send the films off to be developed, on the last night, we went on the beach for a last mess around, look for some Southern charm to finish the holiday off if you get my meaning 😉 Nice memory upload, Thanks!
