Despite how many lead guitarists the band has had, there's two solo players that clearly dominate this list... Ooof yeah, that whole song is awesome! I'd 100% struggle with that intro, the finger picking stuff is outside of my comfort zone for sure but it'd be a fun thing to try.

Thanks man! Yeah, agreed. I have massive respect for Chris Poland for carrying through those tough early years and for playing jazzy licks over metal before it was cool. Also, Kiko and Broderick are fantastic players, and imo, played live much cleaner than Marty. But when it comes to solo writing? No competition, Friedmans solos + Dave's rhythms were unbeatable

Thanks man! I've got a couple of lessons coming out soon(ish) :D And the pantera vid sounds like a fun idea, but won't be for a while. We're expecting our first little one soon and I'll need to study up on Dimebags style quite a bit to do it justice. But I'll add it to the list!

@@KarzGuitarif I could make a recommendation, dimebag is super bluesy and very similar in playing to Dave mustaine with his solo style, but just legato!! If you have Dave nailed you don’t need to put as much work in to get dimebag!
