Izakaya Toyo San is on Netflix now. The documentary food show Street Food- Asia has him featured for the Japan (Osaka) episode. His story is heart touching. 😊

Just watched it. You're absolutely right. Toyo's story is amazing.

Love the food on that show, but the stories are so depressing. I wish they just stick with the food.
@JayeetaBhattacharyaTunu69895 жыл бұрын
@@blebhan8213 I understand that you felt sad to learn about the tragedies and pains in their lives. But my friend you have to realize that they became heroes and now they are all successful and famous because all of them fought their tragedies. Now they are all winners, they are all respected and loved.

Toyo's story touched my heart after watching his story on Netflix. I'll be going to Japan in September and I'm on a mission to visit his restaurant and eat his food. Can't wait.
@MsKestrela6 жыл бұрын
I've seen Toyo-san featured in other vlogs, but never as well as this one. His unique technique for cooking would be a major reason for me to go to Osaka. That sashimi plate was off the hook for the sheer quantity! You can tell that he really tried hard with English, and kudos to him for that. Another amazing video, Luke and Sabrina!

The flame thrower man is so friendly, jovial and energetic and I think his hand is inborn with fire.That kaisedon bowl and seafood platter is so packed with goodness.A fair price for that rice skewer.

Best video ever! That seafood trio at Izakaya Toyo looked amazing, as did the sashimi earlier. I especially liked the takoyaki place in Dotonbori - reminds me of the one in Yakuza 0 and Kiwami! And Luke burning the hairs off his hand to bring us this video. Epic!

Luke everytime I see one of your vids I get hungry and that is my gauge of whether a food related video is on point or not. Watching you and sabrina enjoy the myriad of dishes is pure joy. One thing I would like to know is if either of you ever ran into a dish that was so unpalatable that you just couldn't bear to taste it? Can't wait for the next one and the next one.....great stuff.
