It really depends. I lived in VA for 8 years and flew out of both. Dulles is good if you live outside the Beltway, but usually costs more. If you live inside the Beltway and are going domestic only, then Reagan is better. Not to mention you are more likely to get out on time flying out of the latter. While the Metro goes out to Reagan, the Metro is due to come to Dulles this summer, so that cancels it out if you don’t have a car or don’t want to pay for daily parking. As for planespotting, both are awesome… but only if they’re using the River Visual at Reagan. Dulles you have to get creative.
