Hey Flark great video man! You alone are keeping my enthusiasm for pvp going, even though ive been struggling lately with unholy. It feels like i have too many buttons to press and by the time my opener is finished, the enemy already has me down to 50%hp and i have to start deathstriking. Opener, chains, grip, limb, kick, it just feels overwhelming. I like the Necro Build, everything disease and minions has always been my favorite :)

This is the conundrum of any dps (survivability). Warriors are practically full healing right now after I've smashed them with my full go.

well every comp that an unholy dk would play for war within pvp is going to have a healer so they probably have to keep you going during your opener like that. if we're talking duels then it can be a little frustrating to be going through setup globals and start getting blasted by a fury warrior, but you can play it a little slower and kite them out during their burst before trying yours.

Defile/Pestilence seems like a must have now. With all the wounds we can burst now, it's nice having another source of wound generation. This also doubles as a slow in the opener (same 70% slow as Chains). Also, there seems to be a bug with Apocalypse getting the benefit of 4 wound bursts (full value with damage and pets) with only 1 wound on the target. So you can burst down to 1 wound and end your big go with Apocalypse.

It saw so many nerfs on the beta I really doubted it was going to be any good but then they buffed clawing shadows when they nerfed the rest of unholys dmg. Ive tested it the 45 second goes are no joke.

yep all the mods juicing up those 2 big globals are definitely something. and it can all be done at a range. we'll have to see when arenas open up how it does, but unholy is looking to have some great options in war within pvp.

I’m gonna give you a sub when I get back from the cottage. I’ve been struggling with DK a bit and it’s probably just a few key concepts I’m missing. I’ve had a much easier time being consistent on Fury and Survival Hunter but DK is the class I want to excel at.

Great video! Question, with the woundspike build, by removing A bomb and get Magus talents instead, could Necromancers Bargain become viable so you can have Vampiric strike more often+ an annoying dot that refreshes everytime the target gets healed?

You're the only DK main that mentioned rune of the apocalypse, i've been thinking about it for a while but no one has tested how much of an increase this is with unholy bond and the diseases affecting morbidity. Would be nice to see your thoughts on this if you ever test it.

yeah I'd love to see rune of the apocalypse work in unholy dk PVP for war within (it already is confirmed to be bad in PVE, but they don't need the mortal strike effect). I will absolutely test it at some point with unholy bold and see what comes out of it.

You talking about defile not being valuable because of high mobility creep is so real. The rot and wither talent seems pretty interesting running with riders of the apocalypse, does Mograine's mobile dnd count for the rot and wither talent?

unfortunately it doesn't seem like mograine's dnd gives you rot and wither OR grip of the dead from my testing. otherwise that would be a fantastic option. but yeah, it's just nuts how much people can truly move rn.

hey man i love these videos, started uh and climbed quite fast during dragonflight cuz of these good work.... 1 thing tho are you using a weakaura or any addon to filter out debuffs on your target? with uh having like 50 debuffs up on everybody its quite bloated on the nameplates, cant find a good plater profile

yeah it DESPERATELY needs haste, and you'll get a ton more when the season starts up. it literally has so many procs and so many valuable globals that every time you lower the global cooldown, your damage skyrockets.

I need some advice on how to handle rogues in pvp, I tried the hybrid build and got deleted by an assassination rogue all bg long. Just sets bleeds and leaves me to die haha

I think rogue is probably the hardest 1v1 matchup for literally any spec in the game. it might be unwinnable by design. best thing you can do is ibf his first stun keep your diseases up and pad as much as possible with your rot options while deathstriking every other global. it's not very doable tho.

While for San'layn you're essentially locked out of a quality of life talent in a choice node, Clawing Shadows. As Clawing Shadows does not increase the damage Vampiric Strike does. According to wow head the Vampiric strike dose not work with Shadow claw. Do you know if that is true and in that case dose that change the build for woundspike build?

I don't know what's going on, but my frost spec does about 400k more dps than every uh spec I try. I'm ivl 580atm, my fdk is doing 700k st dps and my uh struggles to maintain 300k

dk is a class not a spec haha. frost is doing really well but unholy is middle of the pack. but it's not even unholy as a whole that would get buffed, like I said, it's the decomposition talent that is VERY bad in PVE but synergizes well with the toolkit.
