You know jerseys have to be finalized by the team and then sent out to the manufacturer to produce a year or so in advance. It also doesn't help that there is a new company overseeing the production of the on ice jerseys. I could see them taking inspiration from the newly redesigned Utah flag, which at its center has a hexagon containing a beehive in two very nice hues of gold and navy blue. Frankly, that center emblem could be a jersey crest on its own. An apiary theme could be really cool. Utah Buzz, Utah Stingers, Utah Swarm. The stadium is nicknamed the hive. The crowd makes buzzing sounds. Regardless of team name, I could easily see a light golden yellow (like honey), contrasted with a grayish sky blue. Like Moab in the morning light.

He bought a jersey to take it back home where his friends and family loved the kachina logo for being unique compared to other nhl logos which they found some as corny. Indeed with all the amazing artists seen on this channel over the years, Smith could literally put out an open call for submissions (any name any jersey design) with a promised cash prize and have dozens of outstanding concepts within 2 weeks. Meanwhile don't tell me Fanatics wouldn't be happy to put all their efforts into producing the first brand new full time jersey the NHL has seen in 7 years.

That's the most underwhelming option of all, and pretty much the sole reason why most european organizations can't create such an engagement with the fans like how it goes in America. I can see how the Washington Football Team could've come off as somewhat "refreshing" to some people, being an exception, but on the long run, with a name like this, they would've miss out on a lot. The "Utah Yeti" could be extremely fun, probably the only downside of it is that it resembles a little too much to the Kraken as a concept [mythic creature, singular form, etc...], but it's still a lucky one, if that's the biggest concern. If that's not it, I think they still should go with some animal, that has a face, a personality, something easy to get attached to.
