Piaggio named "master" the 500 ie engine and "quasar" the first injection 250/300 ie engine as commercial names. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍

Awesome scooter like the 350 Beverly. I love the style of the scooter especially because it's much smaller that the Japanese competition. The reliability and running costs are top in the market for these kind of scooters.

Great great video!!! A few of us had them in AZ and we had problems with the steering bearing going out. It would feel as if you had a flat spot in the center of the tire. Was not fun when that happened but luckily was still under warrantee Was a great, fast and comfortable scooter. Keep the videos coming!!!

Hey Robot, nice review. What would you say abbout master 493cc instead of an older 460cc? I have Beverly 400 2008, never had a problem, it has 22000 miles, and for slower speed vibrations, the best upgrade are dr puley slider rollers :)
@Timjoerobson3 жыл бұрын
Great review. I have a 2009. I agree with everything you said. Maybe mine uses a little more gas than yours. The vibration isn’t really an issue. Like you mentioned it has good torque. I like the brakes. The front independent brake pads wear quickly. I wore a set out in one day on a refresher riding course. Practicing emergency braking. BV350s are better. Do you have an oil change video for this scooter?

You got the 493cc twin spark engine which is much better than this 460cc.

why do they make the front wheel diameter larger than the rear?
@mpelevic3 ай бұрын
The rim is smaller. The tire is thicker. They are the same outer diameter .

Hi robot do you have any videos working on a Vespa lx125 3v, it seems to be picking and choosing when it wants to run one day I can get on and ride it fine then a hour later or the next day when it starts up and I try to ride it will bog/cut out
@VespaMotorsport3 жыл бұрын
Not specifically for the 125 (we only have 150cc here), but any of the LX150 and most of our modern Vespa videos will have useful info that will also apply to your LX. Just take a scroll back through all our videos. Thanks!

Could you tell me what size socket I need for the nut that holds on the front pulley? Want to change my belt and rollers asap :)
@tenders3 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it's 27mm, or 1 and 1/16". Rear nut is 21mm or 13/16" socket. I just did that job and those were the sizes on my Scarabeo 500ie, same vintage, same engine, same transmission. I don't recommend "upgrading" to sliders - didn't really see a difference. Retorquing the rear nut to 70 ft-lbs is difficult. I suggest using a torque stick with an impact wrench, because one wrench of the two-wrench technique shown in the shop manual does not exist on this planet.
