April 19th, 1995 will live with me forever. I had a 9am meeting with the USDA, in the OKC Murrah building. But the day before, while out with my family, I told them I had a horrible feeling and I'd reschedule . Little did I know, that feeling would save my life. It still freaks me out to think about it.

While I was nowhere near OKC, I was a college freshman and I remember the news broadcasts on all the stations. I was afraid this would be the first of several bombings.

I was born 95. I actually do remember quite a bit before the turn of the millennium. I'd say a lot of "adulting" things are easier now because of advanced computer technology. Tech back then just seems so crude in comparison, and I remember my mother getting so frustrated with the slow connection while she was paying bills or something of that manner. I don't remember any really happy adults around at the time, and even teens seemed depressed. There was a greyness to the decade that loomed about. Teens today are so cheerful in comparison. I think in a way people are happier now and just don't realize it. Something with their perspective that's hard to pinpoint. Tech gives them an outlet they never had back then. That's my perspective, flawed and limited I'm sure.

In this instance "record" does not mean "album" but instead "recording." "Record of the Year is related to but is conceptually different from Song of the Year or Album of the Year: Record of the Year is awarded for a single or for one track from an album. This award goes to the performing artist, the producer, recording engineer and/or mixer for that song. In this sense, "record" means a particular recorded song, not its composition or an album of songs. Song of the Year is also awarded for a single or individual track, but the recipient of this award is the songwriter who actually wrote the lyrics and/or melodies to the song. "Song" in this context means the song as composed, not its recording. Album of the Year is awarded for a whole album, and the award is presented to the artist, songwriter, producer, recording engineer, and mastering engineer for that album. In this context, "album" means a recorded collection of songs (a multi-track LP, CD, or download package), not the individual songs or their compositions."

Ah. My childhood! Glad you included Calvin and Hobbs! That was one of my favorite series as a kid! Kids today just won’t understand something like that. Calvin and Hobbs even had a book series. I used to have a whole bunch of them as a kid. There’s a lot more to the 90’s you need to touch up on though. The Yankees epic winning streaks, television series in the 90’s we grew up with, Wayne Gretzky with the Rangers, the Hartford Whalers moving out of Connecticut (the last/only professional sports team to be here in Connecticut). Also as a sneaker head, a lot of iconic sneakers came out around that era (Nike Air Max!) So much happened in the 90’s. To me it was a generation that changed the world to what we know today.

The year following a true, real, and actual spiritual revolution in late 94. Church attendance spiked, people were changing their faith, or their denomination. Some people decided to opt out of church altogether, but become more spiritual. The hip hop music, the RnB music, the alternative rock music, the temporary swing music come back, ecstasy, SUVs, burgundy automobiles, rear spoilers, sky pagers, answer machines, mobile phones, computers, cocaine, pimped out classic cars from the 1970s in the hood, silver jewelry, body piercing, mullet haircuts, earrings on guys, boomboxes, the O.J. trial, the Oklahoma City bombing.

Goldeneye released in the UK Playboy ended its ban in Ireland after over 30 years Michael Jackson collapsed on stage during rehearsal due to dehydration Pocahontas was also released this year Galileo enters Jupiters orbit New Jersey Devils swept the Detroit Red Wings for the Stanley Cup (second sweep in 4 years!)

I went to HS with her in Minnesota. It was very scary. I totally think her “friend” John killed her. Recently i saw a retired FBI agent rxplsin why he thinks John killed her after watching footage taken at a party that they both had been at a few days before she disappeared.

1995. The Year I thought I was going to join the 27 Club even though I am not a musician. Instead,...wised up,....got away from a toxic environment and pursued a career in a sport I love where I was the first to achieve certification in my State and become a standard in training.
