The thing is, it really kinda needs us to have an empathic relationship with Clark first, so us the viewers can be shocked when we see him as this superpowered dictator. The treatment the Snyder films make of Superman is kind of dehumanizing, showing him as some godlike alien that has little connection with mankind aside from acting as its protector. And that's a bummer, because Clark, having being raised as just another kid, should be more human, more empathic, and more likeable. To be able to reach this point in the narrative would need a total overhaul of Superman in the films, something that I hope happens by recasting him and having the writers show us the more human side to his character

It still is out of context, it’s not like that changes because it was explained later. Zack himself learned from this, since the Knightmare flashes in ZSJL are much shorter and don’t break the flow of the movie. This definitely does. Also it's actually consistent with established rules, Zack described in an interview that whenever Flash timetravels there is a ripple effect that resonates within the people who were present when it happened. This rule was followed here in BVS where Barry shows up in the Batcave, when Flash reversed time in Superman's ship giving Cyborg a vision of presumably after the scene in this vid and Bruce in the Lakehouse after the ending when Barry had reversed time on a universal scale

@@Randomized_tv In my opinion if they wanted to make Superman dark then they should've made him light and hopeful first throughout early films and kill him off in Superman 3 with Doomsday and then bring him back in a future Justice League film and make it 3 parts where part 1 Darkseid wins part 2 Dark Superman and part 3 probably defeat Darkseid and would manipulate Superman with the anti life equation for the end of part 1 probably so make it into 3 parts in my opinion. But before making him you would've needed the audience to connect to him before going into this direction. Then you could kill him off in a 3rd Superman or Justice League film and not have him come back for multiple films until Darkseid arrives on Earth

I believe the reason is that it doesn’t fit the context of BVS. The scene before, Bruce is trying to decrypt files from LexCorp. Afterwards, we get a ‘Mad Max’ scenario out of nowhere. That’s like having Stark experiencing a hallucination (from ‘Age of Ultron’) while building a miniature arc reactor in ‘Iron Man 2’. I get that this was trying to set up the sequels to ‘Justice League’ but I think the scene should’ve been introduced during ‘Justice League’ (Snyder) where Cyborg merged with the Mother Boxes and knowing Darkseid’s true plan. It’s a cool scene but based on the context, it doesn’t add anything to “the plot” of BVS.

I love the idea that the nightmare scene could have been a pivotal moment for Batman's motivation! It really adds depth to his fear of Superman's power and the potential for destruction after Flash warns him. Instead of just reacting to the Zod fight, having Batman haunted by a vision of a dark future could make his obsession with stopping Superman feel much more urgent and personal. It would have given the story an even richer emotional layer!

I like this scene so much. It’s probably one of the most badass scenes I have ever seen. I like how the Knightmare Batman (even though he is losing most of the fight) kills a lot of the Superman soldiers and even when being pinned down managed to snap a soldier’s neck

If you're wondering why the regime soldiers aren't shooting Batman it's because Superman wanted Bruce alive to kill him himself because he blames him for the death of Lois. According to Snyder the League became aware of the future threat to Lois and so Bruce promised Clark he would protect her in the Batcave. But apparently when she was there Darkseid boom tubed to the cave and killed her making Superman susceptible to the anti life equation. Also Superman hasn't exactly turned evil, he's under the control of Darkseid who's using the anti life equation on him to enslave earth and terraform it like all the all other planets he's conquered. Also this isn't an ordinary nightmare. It's a speed force induced vision or "Knightmare" of the future which is actually what you could call the ORIGINAL timeline of the Snyder verse. As we can see in this video Barry just reset it but yes Bruce really just died here. It was a possible world but I guess Bruce's death triggered Barry to go back and warn him of Lois and Darkseid. After this the timeline was still gonna end up in the Knightmare world but this time (I'm assuming in the Knightmare Sequence of ZSJL) Bruce was going to tell Barry to Jump further ahead to warn him again but I don't think it works again so then again they end up in the Knightmare world. I think the last time they try Bruce timetravels to the Batcave and sacrifices himself for Lois so that Superman never becomes evil and with that sacrifice they defeat Darkseid and end up with a bittersweet victory. After that Clark and Lois have a son and they name him Bruce in his honor. I'm pretty sure this was supposed to happen in Justice League part 2 and 3 but got cancelled thanks to all you people who said shit like "wHy dOeS BaTmAn KiLl" or " why is superman sad why isn't he smiling or cracking jokes. Way to go for killing our one chance to get something original and visually beautiful🖕🖕. @@ITSAULGONE I love Batman and I can understand his motivation, even in some Cómics he has to kill in extreme circunstances, mostly in this scene we have a more human heroe into a post apocalyptic world and has lost everything...his friends,his home, his faith, one of his friends the symbol of hope himself for humanity has turned into evil (Superman), the humanity does not exists anymore in this future, it's completely understandable that his moral compass is a little damaged and he had to break his "not killing" rule, 'cause is the salvation of human kind what's it's compromised.

@@FlordePrimavera81 word i mean his parents died and he dedicated his entire life to fighting the same kind of criminals that took his parents from him only for his adopted son to die and on top of the his company's employees to die on black zero. Feeling that powerless and angry also made him question that if anything he did mattered and in his mind killing superman is the only thing that matters. I don't think it's only because of the potential risk that superman presents but more that Bruce never wants to feel that powerless again as he did in that scene where he was hugging that little girl with his building destoryed around him, co workers dead and injured and Superman and Zod battling it out and destroying the city. He couldn't do anything but just stand there and watch

This was earth in JL3, after Darkseids invasion. Really shame we never got to see it since Deathstroke is a part of the resistance that Bruce built against Superman.
