I saw Tasmotizer before but thought it was just for Windows, but watching your video encouraged me go and take another look and then I realised that I can run it on Manjaro Linux. It's a really useful utility, especially with the inbuilt configurator.

Btw, are you connecting the GND and GPIO (to boot into flash mode) during the flashing? For Sonoff T1, we need to remove it once it booted in flash mode.

@@yeohkokcheow3781 To my knowledge, GPIO00 should be pulled low for flash. This is set on boot, (this applies only for boot stage, some devices have a button that you have to hold so clearly keeping the GPIO00 low isn't required once you boot in flash mode) and once flashed you can pull it high with a resistor. Then you can send configs etc. I have not used Sonoff T1 but if that's the case and the device misbehaves - they may use GPIO00 for other reasons once it's booted up?

I have a Wemose D1 Mini esp8266 that has a micro USB socket on it I have Tamotized it twice now and it works ok and says it has programmed correct and it all works fine and I can power it off and on and it works ok but after a few days it stops working and will not come back online and the only way to get it working again is to Tasmotiz it again do you have any suggestions, please. Mqtt is for your mqtt server. If you don't use it then you don't have to fill that in. Host IP is the IP of your server (usually Raspberry pi that runs mosquitto or similar) id is the device ID. Has to be unique

That would be down to how you interact with it I don't use apple stuff so you need to check this with whatever you use for the server

Firmware is device locked as the MAC is encoded. If you don't back up yours, you wont be able to restore it

Tasmota makes playing with esp easier. You can develop basic electronics having tasmota in mind. (Relays, sensors etc...)

Tbh as someone with English as secondary language I can say that I had no issues understanding what you were saying at any point throughout the video. So milage can vary, I appreciate the pacing and in-depth knowledge shown. I'd rather have to watch twice or thrice to understand a concept than for it to be explained so slowly that I won't be bothered to watch the video.
