Hands down my favourite channel by a long way. The personality makes it feel like you’re a part of it. Also, outriders are arguably my favourite models, have been since I was a kid and first started in the hobby, never understood why they are so low and have wheels. They should hover! Nicely done that man 👏👏

Those bikes look way better than the standard ones. It just makes sense to have hover bikes for the primaris marines, since the tanks already hover. I would love to see some narrative battle reports with your Blood Angels. Thanks for sharing!!

It’s stuff like that that makes me think GW has really own-goaled itself in the last… maybe a decade? Ages ago, you could do all sorts of whacky stuff because the models were… uh… modular. Now we have monopose models with hundreds of parts. It’s sad, because it makes it harder for people who are practicing their skills to adventure and go off road. Mind you, that’s why vids like these are important! As ever - NOICE!

Fantastic work as always Mike! Scriv_Paints 3D files are outstanding and I can’t wait to build my own set of Outriders with these files too! I love the sponge painting style of your Blood Angels. They look so awesome. Would love to see a Death Company Dreadnought join the growing ranks of your army! Hmm 1,000pts so far you say? Are you planning on getting to 1,350pts size army and attend a local tournament next year maybe? Also what do you think about some Sanguinary Guard joining the ranks? How would gold armour in your style be done in the sponge method? Hmm!

Haha I’ll be getting past 1,350 for sure but I hadn’t committed to any events. I haven’t played many games in 10th ED and would be a mess. Death Company Dread sounds like fun and yeah Sanguinary Guard would be cool and I’d have to give some thought to their gold. True metallic still but maybe lots of dirty brown washes to take the shine away.

I love everything about this and I am creating my on grim dark BA force at the moment. Can I just ask though. Why the black should pad surrounds and why is the chapter symbol not on the left pad? I don’t mind either way just wondering the reasoning.

Hey mate! Cool, you’ll have to let me know how you go with your BA force 👍 The black shoulder trim I like the look of so justified it with their lore being that whilst on world, they painted this portion of their armour black in remembrance of their fallen brothers. The lack of symbol occurs on most of my models, I like the idea that they are in disrepair and there’s just been no reprieve from fighting to really focus on maintaining most of the insignia. If they had time for this then my theory is that their weapons and armour should be in a much better state. You’ll see though that I am pretty comfortable with pushing some traditional lore to the side for what I think looks cool for my dudes then u scramble my own narrative around it 😅

Thank you mate! I think Orks had the most love on the channel for a while so i had been mindful to pump the brakes a little 😅 Have you seen the other Ork videos that are up? Off the top of my heaaaad I can think of; - the impulsor trukk conversion - omg the Dino Riders Ork combo - the McLaren F1 dragsta. - the diorama collab with MTspeed Crafts - the custom Big Mek - the army showcase - the Christmas collab with Lizard of Doom. I mean, if you’ve seen them all and you still want more… you tell me what you want to see and I’ll start drafting a video. I love Orks 😀😆

What combination of blues would you use to do an ultra marines version of this type of scheme?

Hey Christian, I’d start with a dark brown first still and then replicate it with a dark blue, a medium and a light. If you like Greeny/blue ultramarines then start with something like Incubi Darkness and if you like traditional then go with Kantor or similar. As dark as you can to start 👍

@@flashingbadgerpainting oh sorry my dumb ass missed this video. they are amazing but it seems to me that the dc is so dark that the grimdark is hard to see on them. on other models the black contrasts with the main color, but on them it is the main color, and I am not sure how to work with this

@kkvrw yep I had that struggle for sure. I settled on not wanting to add too much grey because I wanted them really dark. I think you could use some midnight blues for some variety if you like that look. I ended with the theory that once they were on the table next to the rest of the red army they would look cool 🤔

Yep, I download the files and then use a 3D printing service. Fiverr is a good spot to search for someone local to you otherwise google for local businesses. I know some great ones in Australia if you happen to be here 😅

I had downloaded the very same folder from Scriv_paints but they weren't presupported which broke my damn heart. I had eye-spied an invader atv grav conversion too from another creator but that had its own issues to cross plate-wise. It's a shame because these have come up really sweet.

I used that automatic support option with my 3D software and didn’t have issues. I just orientated the models with the insides of areas I wanted to glue being face down on the bed 👍

@@flashingbadgerpainting Ah gotcha. I don't have any of the software it was more the issue of my buddy doing the 3d printing. We got a big ass gaming group of more than a dozen active players that sort of all want something printed off from him, and me having the most needing done, so he wasn't gonna spend that time doing anything like that. I'll keep this in mind though if I still feel like wanting these files done down the track, the grav-bike just looks better than the wheel version

Alles gut und schön mit der Idee zum Umbau der Bikes..... aber, es kann doch nicht wirklich der Ernst sein Modelle so stümperhaft zu bauen. Riesen Spalte ( Oberseite Bike 2:18 ), keine Entfernung von Gießgraten, kein verschleifen der Angußstellen, dafür Anbauteile aus dem 3D Drucker. Die Bemalung macht die Fehler vom Bauen nicht weg, ganz im Gegenteil. Sie zeigt noch mit dem Finger drauf. Solche Videos sieht man leider viel zu oft und sind nicht förderlich für dieses Hobby.

You’re very passionate about it and maybe the hobby is calling for someone like you to set the standard with creating videos. I’m just a guy painting his models, having fun and happen to be filming the process to share it with people. I believe people enjoy these videos (based on data and testimonials) and saying that they are not conducive to the hobby is quite mean spirited. Plenty of people are in this hobby to have fun, and if they watch the video and have fun, how can you say that it has no place on this platform? Rather than spending your time telling others how they should enjoy something, my pitch would be to just focus on what you enjoy, and get the most out of that.
