So many workouts on one day
@patrickmalarkeyanoldirishm6463 жыл бұрын
Kristie that looks like a reasonable workout if continued for about 30 minutes a day. But I don't do that many types of movements when I exercise, because of aggravating my back troubles. And for dieting I take a B-Complex vitamin as I go to bed, to keep my metabolic rate as high as possible w/o awakening too hungry in the morning. I lost a lot of weight over about 1 year doing that, but found myself eating more and gaining weight after about the 2nd year of taking the vitamin. I quit taking the vitamin 2 or 3 months ago and my gut and weight are now stable. But is there a way to increase my metabolic rate as I sleep through exercise before or as I climb into bed at night? I think so, but don't really know and I require a lot of a reason to exercise these days.
@drkristieennis3 жыл бұрын
Certainly strength training can help with that. Interval work can as well but that can be more intense.
@patrickmalarkeyanoldirishm6463 жыл бұрын
@@drkristieennis That's exactly what I thought, after needing strenuous exercise to beat the "restless legs" syndrome and get a limited but enough sleep. Well that's what I think I'll do rather that stretching exercises to maintain mobility. I'm more or less, well getting to be an old fart, God with enough medical disorders to not know what to do next. But you wouldn't believe the underlying strength or reserve of the human body. And you've got a body/figure that you can be proud of. Thanks for all the replys, and thanks for keeping that figure, you're an inspiration for so many of us 🥋👣💘

Why do a lot of people suggest to lift your head in order to train your abs the best way? I mean if I do it too I don’t arch my spine but my neck is always on tension Idk if it’s dangerous
@christineribone93512 жыл бұрын
Absolutely are looking good kristie! I'm getting back into working out. I gained 10 lbs during covid shutdown. Never felt so fat before. 😞😞 Good detailed explanations. I feel nothing doing exercise #1. Exercise #2 no feeling in the abs Exercise #3 NADA. Exercise #4 leg lift. Is your butt off the ground? Sorry I can't connect with any of these. And I was a professional body builder. #5 Bent knees crunch. Ah ha. I can work with that one. #6 Raised pelvic. #7 seated lean back. okay. I learned uno good exercise, #5.
@drkristieennis2 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry you don’t feel these! Often times it’s a matter of really focusing on connecting with the ab muscles. These are exercises I do:)
@christineribone93512 жыл бұрын
@@drkristieennis You certainly are inspiring and you definitely know what you are doing. Your physique is amazing!! I understand the 'mind/body connection' and 'focusing' concepts. I can see visually that you are engaging the correct muscles when you demonstrate the exercise. But you are at a much higher level than the every day person. You are 'in peak condition'. I think these exercises are not for beginners. The specific muscles must already be 'developed' in order to engage them properly. Otherwise one would be superficially going through the motions and engaging alternative muscles to accomplish the movement. I will have to work up to proper development in order to utilize these specific exercises appropriately. I'm disappointed in myself for letting myself go during a lengthy depression cycle. I have a lot of work ahead of me. Hopefully by summer I can incorporate your routine. Kristie, I particularly enjoy your tips on executing each exercise properly, do's and don't's. You are a gold mine. Thank you for sharing. ❤ ❤

A question That I hope anyone can possibly answer. When you talk about contracting the pelvic floor muscles If I try and do that to the degree to stop pee I can't seem to hold it for more than a few seconds standing up. Does that mean I am seriously weak?

Often, if the muscles do have some weakness, holding a contraction standing is more difficult since you are fighting gravity.
