Flatbed Trucking 101: How to fold a TMC lumber tarp 👷🏿

Can’t tell you how much of a help you’ve been to me in my TMC journey. Watched your videos for a long time before biting the bullet to help me make the best decision for me. From orientation, to training, and even now when I’m in my own truck, struggling to find the best way to fold these lumber tarps in the winter cold, you’ve been a great help to me. My Dude! When I was with TMC I was going to get a hand truck specifically for the tarps because repetition will kill that back……smart man! Also I remember the first time I folded my lumber tarps tight enough to get them in the same door (middle) 💪🏾

Yeah, for sure. My spine is in good condition, and I want to keep it that way. 😅 No need to strain your body when you don't have to.

@ what hurts me the most and it start when I was at TMC is my hands but my back is in bad shape as well but I’m probably a decade or 2 older than you (52) lol!!! I started at TMC when I was 49 and stayed 1.5 years before going to tanker.

I do one more fold on mine, and I am able to keep both lumber tarps on the side box.

That extra fold have me with2 8 ft and a 4ft or 6 ft in one box

When was with tmc in 80 and 90 until 2007 i waa a trainer and. Had fitted. Ends lumber tarps 2 piece

I remember those. Started with TMC in 98. My trainer's truck was a Century Class. I ended up getting a T600. Both had a Super 10 transmission.

I played a lot of baseball in my youth as a catcher, and as a result, have the knees of a 90 year-old dutch woman. If you're like me, get yourself some knee pads for the rolling. Even a cheap pair at Harbor Freight will save you a lot of pain.

That helps, also. I keep a set of kneepads also. Great for the winter time to keep your knees out of the snow, too.
