I carried my brother out, back in April. His first time "catfishing" and his first catch weighed in at 56 lbs. We caught a dozen more over the next 2 hrs, between 20/50 lbs. Then they just stopped. He didn't stop talking about it for 3 weeks. I've never had another day like that in my life but... Ya gotta keep that line WET or it can't happen. 😂😅

If you still have your ray marine it wouldn't be that much trouble would it? Just a small motorcycle size battery then you could tell depths and contours. That's what you used before you got all the bells and whistles.

I rarely use a drift sock anymore since I mostly suspend baits while anchored now. The drift sock was helpful when anchoring in current and casting baits out
