Perfect proof that the cheater probably has no idea how most of the heroes or their abilities work. I guess you don't need to when the game basically plays itself for you and you can melt everybody near instantly. It is impressive how this guy's decision making is so poor that they manage to get regularly deleted despite that. that's the beauty of overwatch, you can't brute force wins with perfect aim, at some point positioning and gamesense need to be up to snuff aswell. Like I'm a plat DPS so I know at least something about where to position, when to engage, who to engage and whatnot. If I were to play Cassidy with a full on aimbot I could probably climb to masters as the perfect aim would make it easier for me to win my fights, but I wouldn't pick unwinnable stupid fights like going 1v5 against a team behind a Rein shield. Or the infamous floor widows we've seen in other cheater videos. That's the thing cheats just can't do yet, give you gamesense. But I'm afraid AI might be able to close that gap. I can totally see someone using AI to analyze pro play and top 500 games to train it to give you good advice on where to go, who to shoot, when to disengage complete with visual markers on screen and shit. THAT would be scary.

I think it’d be amusing if the game had unique voicelines that all players can hear that the hero speaks if the player has unusually good aim and tracking, like aimbot levels of aim. Perhaps the hero expresses how shocked they are that they’re landing as many shots as they are.

I know in Tears of the Kingdom (yes I know wrong game lemme cook) the Octoroks predict your motion for their shots. They do this based on your current motion at the time of firing. So you can just move in circles or left/right to avoid almost every shot. I assume this aimbot works the same way. Since Orisa shoots really fast, you'll still get hit, but changing directions super frequently would prevent a lot of it.

People like this get away with it because people in those ranks really don't believe they are cheating. My personal favorite tank cheater was back in OW1. We thought the enemy hog was cheating but couldn't be sure but then he swapped to Winston and it became obvious. A Winston with aim bot is about as funny as anything in OW can get. Seeing people with cheats like that lose is good for the soul.

THIS WAS THE BIGGEST CHANGE FROM OVERWATCH 1 TO 2. Making a competitive game free to play FLOODS IT WITH CHEATERS and really hurts the health of a game. ActiBliz knew this. They also knew a year ago they were ditching PVE. But neither of these things mattered because all they REALLY wanted to do was increase monetization with the least amount of effort possible. OW2 was little more than a predatory shop update with a skeleton crew kept on for maintenance.

Here's another subtle thing revealing this Orisa to not actually have that good an aim: His crosshair placement in netural is pointing at the floor. That's a mistake I used to make for a very long time until someone told me I should stop doing that and try to keep my crosshair at head level. Nobody who hits so many shots that consistently would still have such a bad habit.

Flats mentions around the 6:20 mark that most people just dismiss getting kills in game by a plyer like the Orisa as a skill issue and the hacker isn't called out. But that completely ignores the other side of the player. When a player is killed they often just skip the killcam out of frustration or a "I saw what got me, it was the tank, no need to rewatch my own death". Flats here is watching an entire 13 min long playback of a game. Granted it didn't take him close to that long to figure out what was going on, but the point is most people are not re-watching games like this to confirm if the opponent was a hacker or not. Consequence of how we see skilled gaming? Maybe. But more likely just frustration and drive to move on to the next game and hopefully a win.

the orisa plays like a bronze player if that, their cooldown usage is just terrible, and they let the weapon overheat. Having that bad mechanical skills, they really shouldnt have that aim, it has to be cheating. Plus, the javelin shoots purely straight, yet you see it constantly turn towards the enemy players, you mentioned it I think when it was thrown at Zen, but at around 10:48 it clearly veers to JQ. Yeah this player really has no game sense or idea on how to manage ability cooldown. that spear is just buggy Overwatch. “Client side” because the game can’t recognize exactly where you were aiming/it’s different than what the character is shown doing. Please pin this comment: There are many hackers using AI cheats that are very hard to spot or predict because of how subtle their helping is. They use machine learning to predict what you're looking at and can follow shots with the momentum of the target. They are EVERYWHERE. You don't have to go anywhere but the front page of google search. This stuff is getting easier to spot with 'AI anti-cheats' but it's a cat and mouse game as models improve at being so sneaky with how much it helps you. I read once a statistic of nearly 12%~ of gamers are cheating. I don't know how true that is but it feels like it's truth seeing the rise of players like this

9:16 I don’t necessarily agree Flats. I think making an alt to practice a new character is completely fine, but you have to do it on an account that’s no more than a whole rank tier below. Dropping from GM3 to gold is smurfing no matter who you are playing because you’re just so much better than anyone else in the lobby that you can dominate with pretty much any character. I say this as someone who has made several smurf and alt accounts over the years. There’s a point where you really aren’t practicing but just dominating lobbies with a character you kinda know how to use. I doubt that guy is learning much playing Echo against a bunch of golds because it’s not like he’s playing against hitscan players that can laser him like they would in GM3.

Ow2 became so toxic... Ow has to implement some anticheat mechanic finally, like alot of f2p do, because the hacker issue is now absolutely disgusting. Never met so many cheaters in any game

It seems to me like this person was possibly (intentionally) throwing a bit, cause they could have easily just kept tunneling on the squishies and won that.

3:20 into the video, as a gold/silver pc player they are at the very least using hard walls and basic aims this is not around gold level

i play tank and orisa is a character you have to lead shots for like ram, you don't hit that many even in like owl, because i watch that stuff this is high tier gameplay that isn't natural

even if you can't see why it's a bot due to aim or anything technical, the way he plays just shows it 100% at one point in mid point B he goes in on sojourn and zen in close range in a BOX.. he has ult.. what does he do? GUN THEM DOWN! no one in their right mind would do that, you press Q, kill them both especially since their sojourn just pressed shift. That's almost guaranteed double important kill, any tank aside maybe from GM or top 500 would take that. instead he decides to just shoot them in the face easily cos yeah, he can't miss, why bother ulting uh?

I really hope he watches my clip on antarctic. The dude had insane projectile cheats but his movement and mouse movement looked like a literal bot. So strange
