Thanks to you, Bobby, my diabetic husband has finally started to pay attention to what is in our food and what his nutritionist tells him🙂 Myself, cooking and caregiving, I have learned so much from you. Q: Paying such a close attention to ingrediencies, how about all the chemicals/preservatives? Is it not in fact a decoy for the fact there is something else in there, not so healthy?

I truly wish I could understood the way manufacturers are allowed to use certain wording on their ingredient labels which is allowed by (I think) the FDA. What the manufacturers are allowed to get away with. Why it states 0 but it really means there IS some of the ingredient in there. Why it says organic but it doesn’t have to be 100% because the gov’t allows them a certain percentage of it. How certain words do NOT mean what the word says, for example, Natural flavor. There is so much deception in the food industry. And, because so many of us aren’t up on all the nuisances of what the food industry is doing - then we get sick and then Big Pharmacy steps in with their medications. I do not know why the European countries have a better handle on this as their regulations are much stricter than ours in the U.S. May I recommend shopping on the circumference of a supermarket where the fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and fish and some dairy would be far healthier than the inside isles that promote ultra processed foods since they have a much longer shelf life. I appreciate some of the information that Bobby Parrish shares. I hope we all can take something positive out of what B.P. Is sharing with us.
