I made it today. It was So good! But a word of caution, it took me 2 cups more water for the rice to get done, despite adequate prior soaking. Water required will vary with the basmati rice used. So keep checking and don't be afraid to add more. Also, I had to add an extra spoon of salt towards the end

I agree. I tried it and though the taste was good, the rice didn't get cooked completely. Rice always requires double the qty of water and maybe more for vegetable pulao.
