With some sites, I learned that the possibility to fight Vold in his second color costume is one of the secrets about Fighting Layer, besides a fact discarded by Arika in last hour when the final boss was considered being playable before. And about the color costumes in this game, every character(as I know) have two only. But, if someone plays with Joe Fendi, the character have six different colors for his glasses, depending of each button pressed to choose him.

I hear you there. I've been playing Fighting EX Layer, but these old games are completely different and still enjoyable. I really like playing Fighting Layer's arcade mode and I think a lot of supposedly good "single player" modes in fighting games have a lot to learn from games like this.

FlawedRed oh absolutely! Arika recently announced that they'll be adding an arcade mode to FEXL before the end of the month, hoping they'll draw inspiration from this, or heck come up with something even wackier.

Yeah, the whole map thing draws a lot of inspiration from Castlevania 3 of all things.

Do you know the requirements to face blair, allen, and the second knight?

In the first encounter with the knight, successfully block its attacks until you hear Blair laugh. In the fight after the first Knight bonus stage, it doesn't have to be against Blair, land 5-7 Barrage Blows and at some point you'll hear Allen say something like "haiyai mon gachi" which means he'll interrupt the next fight. For True Lance Knight, I believe it's either that you encounter Allen and Blair or you don't lose a round.

@@PassionWagonYT White Vold is that you achieve all of the above, I don't know if there are any perfect win requirements but the final requirement is that you have to finish every single fight (I think even the bonus animals and the Knight) with a Super Combo finish/Barrage Blow. And you cannot use Elusion/Press all three kicks at all. I think that may be a requirement for the True Lance Knight but I'm not sure. So all super combo finishes, do not lose a round, and no use of Super Elusion/Burst ever along with the requirements for Allen/Blair/TLK.

​@@ArctheLadder I only needed four Barrage Blows to get Allen, though I was on the lowest difficulty so maybe that has something to do with it. You don't hear his voice until after the move is completely done (possibly so that he doesn't get drowned out by the announcer), so maybe that's why it's ambiguous.

Fighting Layer is really different from EX Layer. EX Layer's only carry overs are Blair and Allen and a few mechanics like Elusion/Illusion.

White Vold is a harder version of Vold, he starts the fight already in his second attack phase.

​@@Shadi092986To fight blair, defeat the knight after blocking six of its attacks (once you've blocked the sixth you'll hear her giggle). To fight Allen, connect four Barrage Blows against Blair (or whomever the fourth opponent is, provided you defeated the knight). You'll hear him taunt once you've connected the fourth (if you KO with it it'll still work).

Well, I haven't played it yet. ^_^; Also, I like this alternate outfit a fair bit, but it doesn't show up much in Google searches. Same thing with Doctrine Dark of Street Fighter EX; he has an outfit that has a full gas mask with red goggles covering his eyes. Looks cool enough.

Yeah, I think that was an EX1 alternate for D.Dark, and those kind of fell to the wayside after.
