Now this week was mental! The lady that lives here was nominated and we didn’t get a chance to look beforehand. So we turned up on Thursday and this is what happened! Up there with one of our biggest clearances so far, and what a transformation! We will aim to do a part 2 where we pressure was the patio and try to landscape the area.. so subscribe and join the journey!

Until someone points it out, sometines you don’t realise how lucky you are. I didn’t realise all the foundations I have are from him. He’s always been a grafter every day of his life and always been stupid/silly with me and my brother when he was around, gave us such a good childhood.. which made me who I am today! He has only one weakness - communication, but that seems to be like that for a lot of men from that era. What he doesn’t say with his words he shows with his actions. Thank you for reminding me

we’re two hours west of Toronto - I grew up with winter - I mean WINTER ❄️🌨️❄️ my Dad was gifted with an incredible snow blower by an older friend of our family - after he plowed her driveway / sidewalks he did ours and then a few other older neighbours’ - everyone’s gratitude was sincere - when Dad least expected it there would be surprise gifts and treats - but the big smiles and waves from the living room windows were all payment Dad required - believe it or not the snow blower is 42 yrs old and during the worst of the pandemic (2020/21) Dad even managed to chase down the last two spare parts needed to keep it running - that said - we haven’t had enough snow these past two winters to require plowing at all 🙄 perhaps at 85 it’s time for Dad to get a warm weather hobby 🤣😂 will have to show him your channel - am sure you’ll get a new subscriber - thnx guys for all you do 🇨🇦🙏

Go to it Bonnie ! I am 76. I 'work' for one hour every morning when it isn't raining too hard. (UK ! ) A little and often is the key. Patrol your garden (yard) each day to see what may need doing the next. I LEAVE WILD PATCHES for the birds and hedgehogs (I am lucky). I sit in a chair with my morning coffee to take a good look at mine and to listen to the birds. To me, the best compliment I had is when someone said "I LOVE your wild garden" 🙏

I turned 70 and started to get concerned. My whole yard is gravel or grass walkways and plantings. Trees, mostly Japanese maples, dogwoods and Crape Myrtle, shrubs and flowers. Nearly an acre that is described as the tamed part of an arboretum. I get sad at the thoughts of it getting taken over by weeds but I can't work like I used to.

Can I give a little shout for the brambles ? they are shelter and food for birds, hedgehogs and caterpillars of butterflies & moths. The trick is to treat them as a hedge - constantly cut off the long runners. It takes a few seasons !!! But you will end up with a hedge that you can sit by and watch and HEAR the wildlife; which is a burglar deterrent and is a source of berries for JAM. I'd support a nettle patch too - "Nettles are the food plant for the caterpillars of red admiral, small tortoiseshell, painted lady and comma butterflies. It's important to treat your nettles like any other garden plant if you are growing for the benefit of butterflies. Cut them regularly to get good fresh growth from the nettles. " (Natural History Museum London)

That is such a nice patio. Who knew! Nobody could tell from under all that jungle. It's so inviting now. You can sit there with friends and family or even by yourself enjoying a beverage or two. Just chilling! Great job!
