Just wondering why lately i have seen so many videos of Flea being interviewed, hanging with celebrities that have nothing to do with his type of music etc. Why all the interest in a bass player? Something is going on.

The book mentioned in the interview would be the reason. As the person above my comment stated. People are usually encouraged by the publisher and various people to promote such things. It can be hard to sell a pice of media if no one knows it’s out there. Sometimes they will even do more interviews later if the publisher/whomever feels they didn’t get the response they expected from the target demographic. This isn’t much information but, I hope this helps increase your knowledge.
