Nice haul. Especially the first group of flea finds. I saw a video where a guy banged a saw like that on the bench to re-seat and actually straighten the blade. He banged the back edge just once, sharply against bench keeping the back flat and parallel to the bench top so the entire length strikes the bench. I tried it on a old back saw that was slightly jiggered like that & it worked like a charm. Saves putting a bunch of hammer marks on the back.

I tapped it a couple times with a rawhide mallet and it's not tapered anymore.

The saw looks like the handle was replaced... and a rough replacement at that.

I am a retired carpet and Linoleum layer. We used those tac hammers hanging cap meal and cove stick, setting the tack-strip pins when stretching carpet and upholstering carpet. The last one I saw in a tool catalog was a hundred and fifty dollars. My first one cost me thirty dollars in the 1970s.

Funnel is from a cream separator. Gough is indeed Greenlee.

The hammer is a saddlemakers hammer.C.S Osborne has 2 versions. One with a claw and one without the “V” cutout,to hammer the leather into tight corners. I think yours is by Osborne but it could be Gomph or Rose they all 3 made hammers of very similar design with only subtle differences.( there were probably lesser companies that copied them too) Nice saw, I think a lot of “ tapered” saws are actually because the plate isn’t evenly set in the spine.

Good info on C.S. Osborne. Some sites want a pretty penny for one.

@@NotanExpert-Woodworking yeah antique Osborne tools are very collectible. But typically Rose and Gomph are even more expensive Osborne is to leather craft tools as Stanley is to planes.

It's pretty heavy steel. With the long straight tube maybe it's from a sausage stuffer?

The hammer is a carpeting tack hammer, I have one. The claw is long to get into corners against a wall or on stairs, not for carpentry! Have a great day.

Thanks Brian. Looks like mine is missing some of the claw.

I've also seen a lot of saddle maker's hammers that were similar.

The chisel says "Green" something, maybe "Greenley".

That makes 3 for Greenlee. Thanks.

I call that a back saw, could be used in an angle device for cutting frames etc. ,would never pay that much for a damaged example, save your money for when you find a better one, these saws are not hard to find, same thing goes for the hammer, but in the hammer you have a proper handle you could use if you find a better head,,the world is full of junk--only buy the best, you will never regret quality over quantity even though you pay a little more,--ten perfect items in a collection looks far better than a hundred inferior items.------p----
