Fleamarket Vendors Had A LOT Of Things To Say | Fleamarket Changes | Vintage Antique Shopping

Well, we returned on Sunday to the Fleamarket...
needless to say charging on Fridays is not the only change the new management has made.
The vendors had A LOT of things to say about the changes.
Not to worry, we still got our vintage antique shopping in and we found some great items.

I bought my first fairy light recently… I watched a video of a local thrift shop, in California, and I saw a colonial blue fairy light in the middle of their spring sale. I jumped up, ran into the living room and told my hubby - we gotta go! Haha

I agree with you Michael. The least they could do is credit you the four dollars on your next admission. I'd at the very least mention it the worst they can say is no. One thing theses big venues hate is disgruntled customers. Just saying....... I enjoy all your shop with me videos. Hi to Richard and the pups.

You should check out Berner Brothers/Heart ofvOhio. They have tons of ephemera. They do a Whatnot sale on Tuesdays. 4pm ish Ohio time.

My friend and i dressed up as the fry guys for Halloween in Junior High, 1978. Her sisters helped us make huge paper mache fry guys that we covered in crepe paper. We were giant pinatas lol. It was a fun costume

Oh dear me. When you were looking at the recipe book with the jello molds in my head I was thinking Michael, honey, you need to trim those thumb nails. Then I saw the brown spots and went that is not his hand. I would never say that to you if it was you, but it made me chuckle after.

My fav were the ephemera pieces. Flea markets are fickle friends, I can understand both sides of the vendor frustrations but i cannot see why they are so spread out and I agree with you guys that charging $4 for a partially filled flea is not a good thing ( not on the vendors but management)

Yes, I really see it from both sides. I think part of the problem is that the changes have not been "officially" announced. It causes frustration.

I cry every time i see the dalmatians from McDonald's i had almost all of them from both sets. Maybe 5 missing out of all. But they were in a large popcorn tin in a storage cabinet in my laundry room and when we moved out I forgot to grab them 😭 $45 for that fenton bear?😮 i have a cobalt blue one that i took to the antique faire and everyone is asking i say $20 and they act like they got their fingers burnt.

There's some flea markets that make you pay up to 10 dollars just to park your car to get in. That's not including how much they stick the venders to get a space to sell. That's why I have to be picky about where I source because I feel like I am losing money

This flea market really needs to get it together. I think they just need to decide if it is open Friday or not. You can't have your cake or eat it too. I just discovered this flea market on Facebook and this controversy has made me not really want to come. I loved the needle point items.

It appears to me that this New Manager doesn’t want to be bothered and it’s causing BIG inconveniences for the vendors as well and they don’t want the inconveniences of having to setup for only a few hours for two days. Silly!

As someone who has problems with walking, I'd say that if they are intentionally making the venders farther apart it's not only inconsiderate but possibly a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I see no valid reason for it. Some former customers will stop shopping there, out of necessity. That's sad.

$4.00 for both of you l have to pay $5 or $10 fir each person to get into some places in NY Ct The 🐘 trunk Ct use to be $1then $2 then up to $4 each person now l not know been out of the loop since belated left 🌎 to the heavens in 2016 so l evey you only $2 each person& lots vendors back up too early like a ghost town not worth the entrance fee or gas oil wear & tare on the car.
