My first girlfriend, and my fiancee, her name was Sara, was a walking clone of Stevie Nicks. She looked just like her. She was beautiful inside and out. She was killed by a drunk driver two months before we were going to get married. I crawled into a whiskey bottle for months after her death listening to this song along with the FM song Sara staring at her photo for hours not caring if I lived or died. Somehow I got through it, gave up the bottle, and found peace finally realizing that she would want me to live, be happy, and find love again. But her life and death still haunt me to this day. It's been over 30 years now since she died. I never found true love again. But I live and as long as I do, her memory and beauty lives on. Sara. I miss you and still love you and always will. RIP baby. One day we will be together again and start over again.

Sorry for your loss Todd. Know Sara is and always has been with you even in death her loving spirit has been with you. She's been guiding you all these years and she will continue to be there until you take your last breath. Know that when you hear her favorite song or smell her favorite perfume out of the blue or when you're down and you feel a tickle on your cheek it's her. She's letting you know she's still here and still with you. Her love for you is eternal as the soul is eternal and they never die because the soul and love are energy and energy never goes away.

To me, this song is about keeping up with yourself. Some people don't know what I mean when I say that. I think it's about trying to forget about the past and focus on yourself. It's about finding your own personal beauty. It's about thinking things over and seeing your mistakes. It's about finding peace and love and leaving a situation that wasn't meant to be before you hurt yourself and the people around you. Trying not to feel pain again. Feeling a sense of peace for the first time in a long time.

To me this song is about all the beautiful girls I met all across America & Canada/ Mexico who told me they loved me and My Pink Angel whom sneaked to tell me she loved me in Tennessee & that her love is True Love she still appears in dreams to tell me she still loves me and I thank God for that it kept me going . What would the world be without True Love ? Yes sometimes love causes great pain , maybe at some point it would not be true love if one did not feel some pain but you don't know that many times until the end and who knows but God whom may have planned it all that very way so we don't forget Real Love. Say Rowan Pafford would you have risked at the age of 11 or 13 ect... to sneak and tell me you loved me and your love is true love ? Sincerely, SG 22 E Com > The General's Senior Communications Field Cmdr. Ecom , Intel , Field Div.

I know I've been loosing myself, don't take care of myself enough and I've always been whimsical but lately with everything going on, I'm loosing me and I need to get back to myself, I spend to much time dwelling on past pain, current pain, not enough on being free spirited and just enjoying what I can.

You should read the story about the song, how her friend past and she went back to the ‘velvet underground’ a store on a height street in San Francisco and went back to the floor. A mattress she used to sleep on when she was coming up and those were her best days. When every word has meaning to her it has meaning to us.

Stevie was quoted about this song: "For me to be a gypsy; for me to write about the gypsy - and for me to live the life of a gypsy that I love - I sort of almost have to be almost cold and insensitive to be able to remain that gypsy. It’s not easy to be a hippie-gypsy when you’re rich and when you’re a rock’n’roll star."

Upon its release, Gypsy was the most expensive music video ever made. It cost $750,000 to film because of the numerous set changes, extras, hand coloring of negatives, and other post production costs. It was almost not completed because of Nick's repugnance of Lindsey Buckingham and her reluctance to be filmed in close proximatey to him. If you look closely at the dancing scene you can almost feel the revulsion she has for Buckingham.
