"back to the Gypsy that i was" that line makes me tear up every time, i feel that in my soul. its a metaphor for everything you ever were when you were young and you felt free and your whole life was still ahead of you, and its the longing for those days, just that dream to escape when you are somewhere where you are feeling trapped or caged and you just wish you could have one last taste of that freedom and those daydreams of youth.

This song is about what things in life that came on our path that took who we once were & the crime of taking from others to replace the things we cannot by taking. Awareness. A memory of who we once were & fate of what we ended up becoming. Gypsies take the children & life givers. So mythical but it's incite & wisdom & depth of the soul. Stevie is a wise woman who unites the world in her song. It trips every one of us. And Lindsey oh the guitar same thing. And Christie an Angel now & the happy light of Mick. ❤

TheSeeker1960 as a drummer, i call mick Fleetwood pathetic because I know he plays kindergarden paradiddles and is as simple a drummer as you can get. If I am right, he probably contributes nothing as far as writing the songs, melody lines, lyrics,... so in my book for him to be the leader and have the name after him is absurd

Stevie Nicks has the most natural talent I have ever enjoyed. Love her with Fleetwood Mac and alone. Gypsy to me is her best.

This song tears me apart every time I hear it. Reminds me of my dad all the things I wished We should have talked about and didn't. He was the one I admired above all others he gave me and my 2 brothers a great life was 6 months away from becoming a general was a dentist and our rock. So sorry I never got to tell him how I really felt. Dad you were my hero my inspiration for my life I just wish I told you in the living years love you pop
