It's "raw and tangible" because they had broken off their relationship in 1976 during the recording of "Rumours" so the emotion was real.
@judylee9022Сағат бұрын
If you think this banger is raw and powerful gotta listen to "silver springs" from this 1997 the dance tour, Stevie not only writing about her ex but making him perform it as well, Stevie giving it to him! with those eyes glaring right at him and seemingly yelling those powerful lyrics right at him!!!

When you first started this it sounded like your playback speed was a little too fast, but when you stopped and went back to the beginning it felt right.

“Big Love”, just Lindsay and his guitar. So good!

Lindsey is a much under rated guitarist and songwriter. His style of fingerpicking blows my mind to this day. And you are correct, the tension and chemistry between him and Stevie in this performance is palpapble.

Impossible to choose a favorite Fleetwood Mac song, but this is definitely in the top 5. This performance showed off all of their strengths from writing to playing to singing. From this same concert, look for Silver Springs. THAT's the ultimate breakup revenge song on full public display.

I have been a fan of Fleetwood Mac since 1969 when they came out with a song called "Oh Well." It's a short kickass song worth checking out, but it is a very different band. ❤❤❤

Were you watching something on 1.5x speed and forgot to switch it back? Also, I know everybody always does this but the Live '82 version is one of the greatest videos on youtube - you can actually feel the sparks flying between the band members.

Saw them live during the Tusk tour. What I think sets them apart is. They sound just as good live as they do recorded. Just my opinion~~~~

Thus whole show is worth checking out. Especially 'Silver Springs' and 'Don't Stop'.

Lindsey's guitar is Rick Turner Model 1. It was made specifically for him as he wasn't happy with how his 1959 Fender Strat sounded

There is nothing NOT to love about Fleetwood Mac! When I started collecting vinyl a few years ago, this is the first album I bought. LOVE IT! It is by far their best album! Thanks for sharing your reaction to "The Chain" and for your personal insights.

Sebs, it's also worth listening to the studio version of the song, which is friggin' amazing! I agree that you should react to "Silver Springs" live version. The intensity of the interplay between Stevie and Lindsey is powerful.

Check out the live version from the mirage tour 82 it's up there with on of the best live version's of this song. You can see lindsey basically singing but shouting and screaming back and forth with stevie on stage. Just pure magic.

EVERYTHING from this performance is Amazing!! you’ve also gotta react to NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN ideally a live performance. Lindsey’s guitar work will blow you away
@stephencollins57062 сағат бұрын
You asked what is happening ? The answer is very simple you are learning about where 'your' generation of music came from and finding that music is made by people who have an artistic streak along with the patience to spend hours, days, weeks, months and years perfecting the words,playing musical instruments (lots of the artists are very competent playing many). No sampling, auto tune, backing tracks playing live, looped drums all pieces together by technology to make it sound perfect. ( IMHO soul less). The next step back is Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry to name but a few.

This music comes from actual musicians playing musical instruments and the sound of the human voice expressing emotion and artistry. This is NOT the sound of computer generated and synthesized sounds and auto-tuned noise. There is no comparison.

Agree that this is a great song but it’s NOT the best Nicks Buckingham breakup song. Watch the live video of Silver Springs and don’t take your eyes off Stevie Nicks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3XammBuo5VoatUsi=6_1k1wgUQYGgTAzP Her prediction I. The song came true. She went on to a have a phenomenal solo career and you literally couldn’t get away from her sound all over the radio.
