I saw her live at Jones beach last night. Her voice is awesome and she is beautiful.she was so responsive to the fans and shook hands and excepted gifts from everyone at the front of the stage.I love her and she is the best female performer.I go way back to the 70`s with her

This performance of this song is what got me into Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Stevie’s vocals are epic as are Christine’s synth work.

Stevie re: Prince when she was recording the song "he walked over to the synthesizers that were set up, was absolutely brilliant for about twenty five minutes, and then left. He was so uncanny, so wild, he spoiled me for every band I’ve ever had because nobody can exactly re-create-not even with two piano players-what Prince did all by his little self."

Gorgeous. That's how I describe Stevie Nicks. She looks amazing here. And sounds awesome. Love this song, one of my favorites. That hair was typical of that decade. I was 16 in 1987, that is how we styled it. My oldest daughter jokes that our hair had its own zip code. Maybe, but we thought it was cool.

Song was inspired by Little Red Corvette... Prince actually came to the studio for Stevie Nicks and helped arrange it and played those synth parts.

Well...one of the reasons her eyes REALLY STAND OUT, is because there was an incredible amount of "studio soundstage video re-takes" done of Nicks, after the tour had ended and those re-takes were spliced, morphed and mixed back into the film roll. She was not happy with the original close-ups of her and requested most of them be re-done and inserted. It's EXTREMELY hard to have such an extreme close contact with the lens of a moving target film camera, when one is one stage, singing, dancing, swaying LIVE...and...ah-hum...drugged. Yup ladies & gentlemen, that's how that dealio went down. BCRadio

Here are the lyrics, if anyone is interested: No one looked, as I walked by Just an invitation would have been just fine Said no to him, again and again First he took my heart, then he ran No one knows how I feel What I say unless you read between my lines One man walked away from me First he took my hand, take me home[Chorus] Stand back, stand back In the middle of my room I did not hear from you It's alright, it's alright To be standing in a line (standing in a line) I would cry Do not turn away my friend Like a willow I can bend No man calls my name No man came So I walked on down away from you Maybe your attention was more Than you could do One man did not call He asked me for my love And that was all[Chorus] So I walked on down the line Away from you Maybe your attention was more Than I could do One man, did not call Well he asked me for my love That was all

I remember seeing this tour in Pittsburh in early Oct 1987. It was probably the 10th stop on the tour. I just remember being in total shock that Fleetwood Mac was playing a Stevie Nicks solo standard. They also played Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You during this concert. Stevie just got off a successful solo tour and if it was like the Mac wanted to play to her fans. This song rocked and freaked everyone out during this tour though.

This video was filmed at the Cow Palace in San Franciso. I don't know the exact date but it was the Tango in the Night Tour in 1987. I'm glad you were able to see them in Pittsburg on this Tour. I could have been there at the Cow Palace on that Tour but I found out about it after it happened. I was able to see them at the Concord Pavilion and the Oakland Coliseum on the Behind the Mask Tour in 1990 though.

I don't think Stevie has a really limited range, I think she has a very good range. The late eighties were just not a good time for her but if you listen to early songs like Rhiannon and Gold Dust Woman and even the Deep Dish version of Dreams, you can see that she really can sing. I love how her voice sounds all the time and it sounds so unearthly in this.

The late 80's was when Stevie were at the height of her drug uses so she had to battle it out around during this period but she finally got herself back together in the early 90's.

The energy of this song is awesome. I've seen it live and I screamed everytime! I play it really really loud in my car, which has Stevie Nicks rego plates just so everyone else within a 10 km radius can appreciate it as well. "Embarrassed?" you might say? Never!
