This is a truly stunning version. Never heard this before. He was a great guitarist - string bends and vibrato unlike any other. Wow.

Shared the bill w/ Grateful Dead after their bust the previous day. Truckin' came out of it. Uncle Albert was flowing.

There must of been a full moon out this night. He's trying to get the devil to stop evading his dreams. This demon wants Peters love so bad that Peter knows that he has to fight from being in a position where he finds himself following this demon. Being that the demon is sneaking around making him do things he don't want to do , being that the night is so black that the darkness cooks Peter decides that on this night he will do some cooking of his own! The solo on this song users in the light of what was to become the beginning of Heavy Metal music that keeps the demon plenty busy. Realizing that The Green God is hip to his games he leaves Peter to fight through his own demons finally coming out years later to play on. If music be the food of love, then play on. Thanks Peter for being not only the finest axe slayer but a gentle person that has given me the joy to see your kindness and lack of ego give hope to those who emulate you and your message of peace and love. RIP Peter.
