What a beauty. Fabulous sound. I saw a working beauty like this at Magedeburg back in 1979 when I was on the British military train heading to Berlin for the first time. Those big red wheels are lovely. You don't notice how big until you stand alongside one in the yard. Fleischmann done good. :-)

Yeah I stood next to a BR 50 in Frankfurt in 1991 was amazing the size was brilliant. I love this loco and its sound too. Fleischmann have excelled for sure mate.

Thank you for your video and your assessment of the new Fleischmann 012 with sound. I have the 012 myself and I like very much, however the gap between the tender and the cab is so large that an N-scale Volkswagen could drive through it :-) . But that's the only flaw and I can live with it. BTW all rolling stock of the Deutsche Bundesbahn got IT-compatible series numbers in 1968 and our impressive BR 01.10 Öl (fuel) became the BR 012. Sven you are right about the tender, sadly the tender wobbled so I had to return it for a replacement! It is really frustrating that Fleischmann quality is not as good as it used to be. Stay safe my friend and thanks for leaving a comment and sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks Andy, yeah it really is one of their best steam locos even though it has a slight fault on the tender wheel I have a replacement coming but I am looking forward to pairing it up with IV coaches when they release soon. Have a great week my friend.

Dave it might just be the camera angle but the distance between the cab & the tender seems quite large love that long whistle! need to see it pulling era IV coaches!

Hi Tom, It's the camera angle, however there is an issue with the tender, the front wheel is warped so that doesn't help either. So it wobbles as it moves but you cannot see it from the side only from above. I have got a replacement on it's way. As for the coaches have to wait for Fleischmann to get them out and I doubt we will see them this side of the year they are well behind with many items as you will be aware.

Hi Dave, let me be of assistance: The Iron Horse = Das Eisenpferd. But I´m not quite sure if this BR really got such a nickname in German. There are some steam engine BRs which in fact do have a nickname. Such are for instance: BR 24 = Steppenpferd BR 64 = Bubikopf By the way, nicely done video-demo about the sound capabilities of this model engine, And don´t care about your lacking German vocabulary, ...most Germans wouldn´t even know half of your German in English. And - in my modest opinion - your pronounciation of German is quite well, for a native Englishman ;-). Take care Thomas

Hallo Thomas, darf ich mich in erster Linie dafür bedanken, dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast, positives Feedback auf meinem Kanal zu posten. Ich weiß es wirklich zu schätzen, wenn Leute sich Mühe geben, mich oder die von mir bereitgestellten Informationen zu korrigieren, da es schwierig ist, alles richtig zu machen, ohne in Ihrem Land zu leben. Die Informationen, die ich zur Verfügung gestellt habe, wurden von der Fleischmann-Webseite hier www.fleischmann.de/en/product/244629-0-0-0-0-0-0-002001-0/products.html gestohlen kann sie beschuldigen, es falsch verstanden zu haben. Das nächste Mal werde ich meine Hausaufgaben besser machen, bevor ich etwas zitiere, das mich lehrt, faul zu sein, lol. Der Grund, warum ich Deutschland liebe, ist, dass ich dort geboren wurde, als mein Vater im Militärdienst diente. Als Kind verbrachte ich viele glückliche Jahre wie Sie damit, einige erstaunliche Sehenswürdigkeiten des hinteren Endes der Dampf-Ära und des Beginns der Deisel-Ära zu sehen in einer kleinen Stadt namens Detmold. Ich habe in den späten 80ern und frühen 90ern als Erwachsener in Frankfurt am Main gelebt und gearbeitet, und ich vermisse es, nicht dort zu leben. Nur weil wir die EU verlassen, heißt das nicht, dass wir uns nicht gegenseitig genießen können. Ich werde in den kommenden Jahren hin und her reisen, um einige der großartigen Shows zu besuchen, die ich dieses Jahr wegen der Pandemie verpasst habe. Nochmals vielen Dank für die Veröffentlichung und ich freue mich auf viele weitere Antworten von Ihnen in der Zukunft. Hello dave, the same locomotive is also in my inventory. Careful, does it only have traction tires on one axle? Then you will quickly notice that you have to retrofit an axle, because only with an axle and traction tires does it quickly reach its limits. But otherwise a very nice locomotive.

Tom thanks for the heads up and I have just sent the loco back to have a replacement as the tender has a wobbly wheel but I will check that out when I get the replacement one my friend. I hope you are well my friend and thanks for your feedback.
