He was prepared to dock I like that. Those Fleming's are beautiful Trawlers.

STEVEN HOLTON Fleming makes a well designed and well built boat. Your boat selections depends upon your budget and your plans for cruising. I have helped many clients find their perfect boat coaching them through their wants and needs but I am not a boat broker. Send me an email and I’ll be glad to set up a time to talk. Beautiful! I couldn't do that good with my 22 single engine Tritoon. Love the mahogany rails.

Larry Belt many don’t believe it but once you understand how it all works (wind and current etc) a larger boat with a keel can be easier to dock than a smaller planing hull- and a pontoon boat is often described as a leaf upon a puddle. Thanks for watching and for your comments.

Captain Chris - How about seeing docking a twin Carver with one motor and it has a bad prop in the wind ? And yes no bow or stern thruster . Basically a working mans boat
@AskCaptainChris3 жыл бұрын
We have posted many videos of that type of boat. Even a few with single engine and no thruster. We post daily either aboard bots we train on or just watching from the docks.

Going to have to go to Trawler Fest one day. Hope my Silverton won't be jealous if I bring home another boat.

CHARLES DAVENPORT it’s just like bringing home another puppy. The older dog gets used to it. 🐶

This is on my list of yachts I intend to get. Flemming 65 Nordhaven 70 Or a Ocean Alexander 70-75ft range. I'm looking for something that can handle Cat A sea conditions, with at least 3k cruising range. It must be rugged enough to handle the northern passage. I will contact you for a refresher lesson, once purchased. Of the 3 which do you think fits my family's needs the best...Thank you Capt Chris

Eugene Hill I would lean toward the nordhavn for what you described. I offer consulting services and after the thanksgiving holiday I can be reached by phone 772-205-1859

I "assume" that a Flemming had no rear bow thruster. HAHAHAAA, This guy really knows what he is taking about. NOT.

38snubby thanks for watching the “Fleming” (1 m please 😉) as he docked in Baltimore. Using his bow thruster. If he had a stern thruster he did not use it, setting up a spring line and using a bow thruster only in this video. BTW it’s called a stern thruster not a rear bow thruster. And some boats have only the stern thruster or none at all. 👍🏼
