I remember many years ago, Mike didn't enjoy being on camera ... but you got sick during a vlogging month, and he gallantly took over the camera and we all went on a walk with Woof. Student nurse here! The compeed is actually a pretty good idea! We normally recommend to run under cold water and wrap with cling film. Just be sure not to use cream or lotion on it! X

Blenheim Palace is just amazing!! Went there twice already. They had Alice in Wonderland exposition last year and it was fantastic. I hope they will bring it again, because if the adults enjoyed it, imagine the children!

I always fly after Thanksgiving in the US and go to the Palace Christmas light show after in the beginning of December. This hurts since I miss it so much this year. The food, the lights, the music. While I miss it so much, this was so nice to see you enjoy it. Thank you for sharing.

I’m interested to know what you are doing with the stripped walls before you paint them? Our walls were ruined like yours when we removed the paper. Don’t know what to do with them... plasterers are so expensive

We live in New Zealand and it doesn’t get dark until at least 9.30pm, so if we want to go to see any Christmas lights it makes for a very late evening!! Still worth it though. 😉 I actually envy your shorter days around this time of year. 💜💝🎄

Hi there. Danish Pædagog here... been working with little children for the past 25 years. Good sleep generates good sleep, lack of sleep makes cranky children. And I think River is a cool kid... handling disappointment (no pink horses 💗) late in the evening after a lot of impressions is a lot to handle for a little kid. December is a very magical but very eventful month for children... parents need to give a lot of understanding kisses, and sometimes to take deep breaths while repeating " children is a gift"... believe me 🥰🤗❤ but I don't doubt that you and Mike are doing great. And she is a intelligent, cute little girl with an opinion of her world (and we like those girls... we need clever women, with high self worth, who are not afraid to take charge in the future 😁) merry Christmas 🎄🎅❤🤗🥰🥰❤❤✌

I’ve tried to make it like England, I’ve tried to make it Australian, and nothing works for me. I really miss a good and proper English Christmas. Loved this video! 🎄 We did something similar at Hever Castle in Kent and my three year-old daughter was mesmerised by the carousel, though we went on with her. Pretty sure she wouldn’t have been so happy doing it alone! Your house must be a dream to grow up in. River will have so much fun playing hide and seek with her friends in a few years! It’s magical 💫 PS I feel like my life would be complete if I had one of those light-up balloons...

Burn blisters need to breath or you will get an infection. You need to take the plastic off your fingers for a couple of hours at least and just put them on when they need to be protected like when washing dishes.

Hi Fleur and Mike, That light show looked so beautiful. We looked after our granddaughter last Friday night, the little monkey would not settle, I read her books, she listened to an audiobook, but it was still way after 10pm before she finally went to sleep, and we could sleep. 6:30am she was up as singing at the top of her voice (Emma just turned 4 by the way) grandad took her home at lunch time, and at 3, we were given a real dressing down from my daughter and her hubby. Apparently Emma was crying to go to bed, she didn’t want to go out for dinner, and kept taking her clothes off to put her pjs on. So I know your pain Fleur I really do. Fleur next time you go to Blenheim I'd recommend going into Woodstock for a meal rather than staying on site. It's the cutest town ever and only a short walk from the palace. There's a place called The Woodstock Arms - super cosy restaurant/pub with amazing food. Get tickets for the palace next time too!

It must be so much more convenient having young children see Christmas lights in the UK, compared to Australia, because the sun doesn't go down here until atleast 9pm and that's usually way too late for kids to start getting hyped up by lights!

The kids wake up in the middle of the night, when they're late bed, because they're hell a tired 😩😴. There body hurts. Some medicine for the same helps them sleep better. Nothing strong just a half a teaspoon of Panadol may be! Please check with your pediatrician.
