The Flex Seal one bucket was better lined up than the Rubber Flex bucket was. But it did bother me that the Rubber Flex bukcet wasn't lined up better, which could have caused problems with the strength test.

@@willywonka8 doesn't matter, if both are misaligned (they were), the one closest to being back aligned can still be worse off. Test is flawed though cause of the refilling over and over on the knockoff brand, it both softened it up as it started leaking and then stretched it by weight.

Both buckets were offset. The only issue was the offbrand was forced filled first then slowly filled making the seal weakened.

there were 2 problems with the test, 1 the misalignment of the bucket when putting it together, if he had properly realigned it, it would improve the chances of both products working, the second problem is that the knockoff brand had to deal with seperate refills which the flex seal didn't. ultimately the experiment isn't very good at telling the strength of the 2 products.

I used both products on a shop roof with a bad leak and I can tell you the leak stopper worked WAY better than flex seal.

On the second test the rubber flex stuff was at a MAJOR disadvantage you put water in the rubber flex bucket multiple times and stopped multiple times giving it time to slowly stretch more than the flex seal was able to.

The reasom the first test failed on flex seal is because the flex seal doesn't stick to the bucket sticker. The rubber flex had more raw bucket exposed so it was able to hold on better. The surface was not properly prepared for the test.

I used to work at a hardware store and we sold both of those brands and I've heard some very irresponsible stories with both of those products. Like the things people have done with that stuff on work projects. They make great adhesives as well as sealers. They can do some crazy stuff. One may be a better than other but neither are to be underestimated.

The knockoff brand wasn't an exactly fair test on the strength test, because you filled it up once and then filled it up a 2nd time, but the rubber could've been potentially weakened by the first pour. Either way, great content. Watch almost everyone you make
