@@nikolakurjakovic2188 It's not surface rust. That silvery part at 2:36 is a transfer case mount. It is usually bolted to the cabin floor. On this car, it just hangs in the air because the floor has completely rusted and it fell off. You can hear the thumping sound at 9:05 when the car is moving - it's loose transfer case and driveshafts flailing around.

european engines and cars for that matter are a lot different, they are a lot smaller, but still pack a punch, anything over 2 liters is already a big engine, and over 3 you must be rich, in Romania its very rare to fill up your tank because its so expensive, I recommend you see a Dacia 1300, cool classic cars, a communist copy of the renault 12

@@thedamntrain5481 Dacia is a good car,dosen't eat trough fuel like crazy either,I am romanian so yeah,and the fuel prices are just over the top this days,like 1 liter of diesel costs 9 lei. And russian cars were absolute units in fuel consumption and big engines.

Fun fact. The manual states that the operating temperature for the Lada Niva is from +40 to -50 deg c. And the vehicle does NOT have a heating block to keep the engine warm. Absolute beast of a vehicle.....

As an owner i can tell that this is true but if the temperature is below -30 Celsius you have to remove the battery and carry it in the warmth at night

The 1700 Nivas in UK had single point fuel injection (GM as on the Vauuxhall/Opal Astra) & electronic ignition with coil packs. ECM was exactly where the passenger (on the left in UK) braced his foot, so knocked the plastic cover off every time. Brilliant off road: awful on road kept mine as a field truck for years & years, always started even when the head gasket had gone so badly that water came out of the dipstick!

Back in 1989 i sat in a very plush version of the Niva (Cossack) in the motorshow in Birmingham, i was surrounded by many prestige cars yet i wanted this niva. Sadly was out of my price range and i never did get one or drive one.

Do you ever check the air filters before starting the engine? It's quite common for mice to chew up the air filter and make a nest out of the paper element. And you don't want that being sucked into the engine.

@@jubylam7108 these cars are literaly in a junkyard, they're rotten and probably have mecanichal issues. This guy never said what happened to the cars after a video. Some people in the comments (including me) think that he starts it (he never buys new parts to start the cars engine, he just add some gas our diesel, I don't remember see him add oil), drives it a bit, and washes it under pressure. He used petrol and water, and can make Thousand or Million of views (so earned money, probably), so yeah, it's a possibility that these cars staid here after a video.

Hi, some cars are getting sold again. In future they are for parts or back on road. That depends of car condition. On some cars I changed oil but not anymore because I dont know condition of car engines. Some engines are bad even before standing. Mazda 323, BMW E36, black Isuzu Trooper are back on road for now.

J'ai toujours apprécier l'ancien modèle de la NIVA au nouveau , genre l'englober en métal qu'au plastique c'est aussi une question de simplicité de mécanique et de circuits constituants le moteur ainsi que l'offre du moins tracas lors des pannes ..sauf bien sur pour les constituants électriques .....quoique le formidable en elle c'est toujours opter pour le mécano électrique .qui permet plus de certitude et de sûreté par apport aux défaillances électroniques que connait bien sur les instruments et appareils parfois pas souvent et selon la qualités des automobiles et surtout d'instruments électroménagers sont concepteur avait raison de performer juste le carénage des roues ainsi que de façonner la taule par apport aux premières générations ...
