not sure if you check this or not...my question is, do you still wear any compression garments also...I know this machine doesn't replace the compression garments.

Well, try the compressor device, before you run your mouth and judge. My husband's improved quality of life from this unit has been major. He was GIVEN a Flexitouch free of charge, by a local veteran's lymphedema management program. We are extremely grateful, and use it (3x weekly) in conjunction with diet modifications, increased activity, lymph draining technique massages, stair climbing and long distance biking. Sorry you are such a cynic. (FYI I don't work for Tactile but ,they are the manufacturer; Flexi-touch is actually the name of the device)

Does a person also take Lasic with this protram. Can a friend/thearpist learn to adminster it at home? do you have to buy the more expensive pump? Thanks for helping. I have both legs and after five years of not having the right helps I'm getting far worse after fracturing 7 discgs from a fall which brought on the Lymph.

It definitely helps a lot. I still wear a compression garment daily and I also try to get a lymphatic massage weekly. I’ve had Lymphadema in my right leg for 20 years. There’s no fixing it, but you can absolutely manage it. I’ve never thought of it as a limitation and guess what, it’s not.

Mike, thanks for your words of encouragement, I just found out last year that I have had this for the past 10 years. I just got approved for garments, and need for both arms and legs, had two surgeries and some trauma . I will be going back to P.T. for mld in January. God bless you , you give me hope, that and God.

I know what you’re going through you have to wear special shoes and the pressure stocking and it’s very hard to get nice shoes hope you’re doing well I have lymphodemer to Can’t really get rid of it I was born with no limp notes Are use the pump doesn’t really work do you sleep with your legs right up to be higher than your heart and put your legs up if you can during the day or night it’s hard when they’re done that wish you good luck

I have one and my quality of life has greatly improved with my FlexiTouch. I use it for head and neck lymphedema following a modified radical neck dissection.
