Well I went on your recommendation Neil! I just bought one and I’ve got to say I am impressed with it. The light given off is excellent in my opinion, and I have to say in mid December I haven’t yet seen a mozzie 😂

Thanks for the review and as a dual use (repellent and lamp) it looks really good!

Recently bought one of these and tested it out on a recent trip to the Lake District, which it worked really well I found that if using it for a picnic it’s good to set it off a good few minutes before you sit down.. great bit of kit.

That pot looks similar to mine. I picked up a pot at a boot sale for £3.00. Didnt know much about it. Got home and did some research to find out it was a four dogs Mors 8 pot by mors kochanski , well chuffed with it. Used it a few times already and love it

The point you made about charging is a good one. If you are out on a multi day trip this could be a problem. A net does not need batteries and generally won’t break down. Car camping is definitely an option. I like to keep things simple like your puck stove.

Thamkyou for the review Neil. I have been looking at one of theses and thought it may be to good to te true. I wonder if you could charge this from a battery pack..... I'm assuming so. Do you or anyone in the comments know if this would be an option.

Shouldn't be an issue, usb devices don't generally know what they're connected to, just that there's power available. It's a decent sized battery though, 4800mAh, more than most mobile phones, so you're going to need a big power bank (or a couple) for a multi day trip.

I purchased mine directly from flextail gear in the US, after seeing some American reviews. Where did you get yours.

Looks like you can buy them in the UK, but not the repellant pads.

Now that sure seems to work incredible, that's brilliant. That's something that I'm going to look in to. It would be a good test here in Northern Ontario Canada. The mosquitoes here are a pound each LOL

how long do the repellent pads last . can you use just for a few hours in the evening while setting up camp and then for a few hours during the take down ??
@wurzella1 Жыл бұрын
The website says 8-10 hours per pad so you should be good with one a day

It certainly looks as if it will keep west highland midges away when the wind is blowing above 10mph.
@growingupisatrap6688 Жыл бұрын
no it won't, when I tried it in Glenco it did absolutely nothing to deter the midges
@orraman5427 Жыл бұрын
@@growingupisatrap6688 I thought as much. Midges can't fly if the wind is over 7mph.

Great review, love the idea of a mozzie repellant and light in one. Im hoping to do Norway on the motorbike next year so looks to be a great bit of kit to take along.
